Yay! Our 10th Dogon! The form for this Dogon will be a bit more intensive and require a bit more from people since it is such a complex design that it has!
This Dogon has a history behind it, it no longer has to look up into the stars to see the galaxies but rather just unfurl it's wings to see it's beauty. I want to see a story of how this Dogon ended up with the stars and galaxies on it's pelt!
I will also ask, while not a requirement but an EXTREME booster, if you do any art (for this one in particular or the species as a whole) and prettying up your form is recommended! The art can be as simple as a stamp for the species to a banner that can be used within the species, or a scene from your story! Good luck all!

there once was a lass who wished nothing more
than to hold the stars. and not just to touch and feel them,
but to conquer them completely. she wished to be able to
make the stars shine brightly, and flicker on and off. she wished
that she could control the night. this way, she would always be able
to see her beloved stars. in her dream world, the sun never shone and all
there was in the sky were the girl's beloved moon and stars.
day never dawned, and this was what the girl wanted.
but this girl was not normal. she was not even human— she was a Dogon,
an ancient breed that naturally, didn't trust humans too much. they were
hunted by them for a long period of time, after all. and this girl's name? Andromeda.
and Andromeda was grateful for her wings. if she hadn't had them, she would
never have been able to fly up into the sky and almost touch the stars, the moon.
but she was never really able to.
though, one fateful night, Andromeda was sitting on a high tree branch, looking at the
vast Galaxy spread above her when a certain star started flickering. Andromeda gasped in wonder.
it shone and went out, like a dim bulb. How? she wondered in awe. the star appeared to be
falling now, hurtling towards the ground like a rocket. No! Andromeda thought. She couldn't let
her beloved stars fall to the ground, for they belonged in the night sky. she flew as fast as she could, racing towards
the star in an effort to save it. but it fell out of sight before she reached it. now, she flew faster than ever.
and finally, Andromeda reached the fallen star. she landed, walking towards it with wide eyes. "How is this possible..?" She said aloud, as even more stars began to fall. She knew she couldn't save them all. but they were all falling in the same place, forming a delicate circle around her. Then, the stars started changing shape. They looked liked little diamonds at first, but now they were turning into circles of light. then, wings and fragile bodies surrounded Andromeda. "Faeries?" Gasped Andromeda. Then, the first fallen star began to speak. "Hello, Andromeda." She said. Andromeda retreated in fear. "How did you get here..? Are all the stars in the sky.. Living creatures?" She asked. "No, silly!" A voice from behind her piped up. Andromeda whipped around to see an even smaller faerie fluttering upwards, and it landed right on her scaled nose. "We've come to grant your wish. Every night, a living creature makes a wish, even if they don't know it. We know, though, we know your hearts' desire." The Faerie said, fluttering around Andromeda delicately. She took a good look at her bland, black coat. The others started looking at it, too, feeling her wings and touching her fur. "I've seen many Dogons in my life, and this one.. She's very, well, uninteresting, as far as her coat goes." one said. Andromeda let out a little growl, she knew her coat wasn't the best. "But we can fix that, correct, ladies?" Said the first one. The other faeries nodded their tiny heads. "We're here to grant your greatest wish! But on one condition."
Andromeda raised an eyebrow. "If you wish to touch and feel a star, to really hold one, you may never fly in the daytime again." The faerie stated. Andromeda gasped. Never fly when the sun is out again? She thought over it. The faeries shrugged, and she got the idea: there was no other way. "Well, Andromeda? Are you willing to give that up for a nighttime life?" A faerie asked. Andromeda nodded reluctantly. "Yes. Yes I am." She gulped, shutting her eyes tightly and waiting. She expected something big. She was ready, to finally feel a star. But all she heard was delicate tinkling, then she opened her eyes to see a bright flash of light. Andromeda toppled backwards in surprise, and fell to the grassy ground. The faeries were gone. All of them but one, which flickered and eventually, inexplicably, turned into a ball of glowing light. Andromeda approached it. "Are you my star?" She asked. She heard a voice replying. "Yes, andromeda. But you may only touch me when the moon shines. I will be here, Andromeda. Waiting." It said. She thought that was silly, because it was nighttime, so she reached out to touch it. But it disappeared before she could. She looked up into the sky to see the sun rising. Now, she would have to wait to touch her special star. But as Andromeda looked down at her paws, she noticed they were glimmering. They were covered in stars! She bent her wings. Covered in little stars, too! Andromeda was so happy, she burst into the air. But it was only a leap, she realized, falling to the ground once again.
While I'm waiting.. At least I have my own stars. She thought to herself, silently
thanking the Faeries.
