Well, the main character, Frederic, in The Pirates of Penzance is an apprentice to some pirates, and his contract says he must serve until his twenty first birthday. He reaches what he assumes to be said birthday, only to find out that he was born on Leap Day and didn't know it. Bothered by his sense of duty, he leaves his true love to serve the remaining sixty three years of his service to the pirate crew.

My friend loved horses and his favorite white gene was Sabino. He always said his next horse would be an Arabian or a Teke, both breeds he was fond of.
