[Unhealthy Obsessions]

Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sentient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

I know it came on a little fast but 700 is here! This contest, we decided not to do an impress me, but instead I want to see focus on one particular thing! I want to know about where it is that they live! Remember, all Kalons are born on earth. Be creative as youd like just keep it about their living place, whether it be their actual home, or maybe even a land, or village they inhabit!

Note that the Fins on their body can also flatten against them . On the references they are fully up in the state where they would be functional. Otherwise they would lie against the body.

I was thinking that maybe they could personally show you around their home? I tried to put a bit of personality in there as well, so it would be a more enjoyable read and not just a text block. The personality part is about the "tour" of their home and interaction with your character. If that wouldn't be allowed, please only focus on the parts that describe her home and the art piece. This note is here to clear up any possible future confusion! I hope you enjoy reading my form!

Where they live and what its like:
"Hello? Are you lost? Don't worry, you can
visit my place!" A creature about the size of a
Labrador, popped her dark green head out of the
water. Fins protruded from the top of her head
and webbed around her body. She dove underwater,
her green aura lighting the way. "My name is Midori,
nice to meet you!" She said turning her head back
with bright innocent eyes. Her voice translated
clearly, even though you were underwater.

Large metal beams laced the water, forming
a sort of tower. An abandoned oil rig. Barnacles,
mussels, and small green plants laced the rungs.
Small silver fish darted in and out of the tall green
plants that weaved in and out of the tower. The
deeper you dived, the thicker the plants became.
The light began to fade but Midori lit the way, her
whip like tail swishing with the water. "Here we
are!" She squeaked, parting the seaweed with her
tail, and stepping onto a gray slab of rock,
out of the water.

Golden light seeped through the entrance, spilling
out into the dark water. Oil lanterns dotted the cave,
lighting up the area. Midori's dwelling was almost
dreary...Several pieces of driftwood were fashioned
into a shelf, holding various shells, two broken
compasses, pieces of metal, shiny rocks, shark
teeth, and many other trinkets. A waterlogged
painting of a happy green meadow was hanging
at an angle from the rocky wall. The colors
blurred together on the canvas and it was framed
with carved gold swirls, with pieces chipped off
leaving black wood.


You notice a weird shadow lacing the ground and
look up nervously. A large ribcage, maybe a shark's,
hung from the glistening stalactite filled roof, an oil
lamp inside of it. Did this creature kill the shark? You
start to stand up nervously but Midori shot a webbed
paw out "Don't be scared! I...I mean...you can go
back now if you'd like. It's....its just that, everyone
is afraid of me and....and...nobody likes me..."
She stifled a sob, then took deep shaky breaths.
Midori looked up hopefully, her voice ringing out
with innocence and longing.

"I just thought that maybe.....maybe you could
be my friend?"

I tried to draw her cavern!
