Marley is an excitable, slightly eccentric, kalon, known for his rather obvious inexperience with...well, a lot of things, and one of the particular things that he is particularly naive to with is adventuring, and it shows. Strongly. Marley loves to adventure, from the little things of trekking through a forest to actual adventures with others, be they kalon or not, but he is simply terrible at doing so. Marley is hugely talkative, something that very often grates the nerves of every other adventurer he may be with, and it is usually about small things, never anything important. A story of a previous adventure, or a fictional tale that he may make up, one that is more than obviously fake but he would insist that, truly, it did happen. This...problems often lead to him getting excluded from the adventure, however, as no one wants to hear someone else go on about how they (tried to) climb a mountain (and failed). Marley's excitement can quickly be dashed and ruined when someone proclaims a dislike of them or their ways, usually quieting down if they do and doing everything within his ability to make it up to them, be it through making breakfast every day for them or assisting them in a fight, even if they do not need the help.

His high-strung personality is one that hides something deeper fairly well. Marley is not dumb, just naive, and he is actually quite intelligent, one thing that he is actually very experienced in. Should problems, like puzzles or other quandaries, root themselves into one of Marley's adventures, he is going to be the first one to try to solve it and, usually, his problem-solving skills actually work, to the typical surprise of many of his peers. This prowess in his intelligence does not show often; at least, not in his words, as it is not at all uncommon for Marley to be thinking far ahead at what he will do to make sure he does not make any bad decisions. Even though he is aware that he can be annoying to some, and despite his keen urge to do little more than talk, Marley is one who would actually hate to put a burden on any of his fellow adventurers, and thus tries to hold his weight in some way.

Sometimes, though, he can have a bit of a temper. It is definitely difficult to get to, sure, as one would have to chip away the naive patience that he has, but if one does -- usually by way of insult or complaint -- he can become rather cross and, to explain it well, grumpy, which can lead to a bit of pouting that is not entirely necessary. During the time he is upset with someone, he is not likely to talk to them at all, which can sometimes be more of a blessing than a curse to some, but it also comes at the cost of not at all being able to get any help from him, which actually can be rather detrimental, and some find that they actually had quite enjoyed his presence.

"My personality? Hmm, I guess you could say that I have an old soul with a young heart. I know that might seem a little contradictory, but that's how I can best describe it. I love to step back and look at the world through everyone else's eyes before I even look through my own. But at the same time, I love to let go every now and then, and let my inner child come out. I'm not reckless, though, despite loving to let go. The old soul in me makes sure I don't do anything stupid or regretful. "Another flaw of mine would have to be my inability to connect with a lot of kalons. I have a hard time understanding the motivations of kalons my age, I just feel like I'm years older than them when we speak. I often get called a 'buzz kill' or 'boring ' even. I have this issue with older kalons, too, not just younger ones. While I do feel that older ones are apt to understand me a bit more, I'm disrespected by them just because of my age. There really isn't a happy medium as far as me and kalons of any age goes. I just have to find ones that are like-minded, and those can be nearly any age. So it's rather difficult to find others I genuinely get along with."

Kalon Personality: Alisdair is the height of creative -- behind his eyes, entire worlds are built. He loves to imagine epic fights and tragic stories, eloquent dialogue and fanciful tales. He strolls the world at his leisure, finding inspiration in nature and kalons. It almost seems like there isn't anyone he doesn't know, or doesn't know him. Alisdair and his cape (and sword, fondly named Biter) are well known and recognizable. He claims that it boosts his imagination to stroll through the woods looking just how he would imagine a fantasy knight. Beyond that, Alisidair is an interesting character, with a penchant for dramatic flair and grandiose entrances. It seems that he barely feels a touch of embarrassment, although in his words it's that "life is short, there's no time to be ashamed."

Kalon Personality: Kona is a very...reserved Kalon. She is one that is often seen avoiding conflict with others - even just seeing others will make the kalon stop in her tracks and want to turn back. She is seen as quiet, but seemingly critical with how she regards others in her path, judging a book from its cover. If given the choice, she is the one to choose indoors, and would much rather do her own thing around at home. Don't be fooled by the cape and sword that she has made for herself - she believes it makes her more confident, and so she decides to wear her prized objects wherever she goes, and it becomes the only thing that cannot be touched - she does not accept the paws of others.

Overview

The Bane with a Blade. That, is Blane. Yet still, his jovial and youthful outlook on life tends to put others off, some disbelieving that he was and may still be a trained mercenary, one who served in 'the war'. Truly, he believes that in time of peace, there is no use in acting like a soldier- but in times of crisis, times of need, he dons his cape and carries his blade out to defend a broken peace. His personal code is to never have a wife, to never have children, so that he may defend the peace knowing he has no earthly chain, no slice of regret in the face of death.

Charismatic

Blane can be quite the charismatic lad. His air of victory and calm attract many, and many more are caught onto him by the tales of his years in the war. With a heart of gold and youthful grace graciously aging him as if slowly in time, not many can pry their hearts from him.

Extroverted

Good-natured, optimistic and sociable, Blane is usually a hit at gatherings and tends to be relief in tense situations. His outgoing demeanor can be seen by all, but his need to have time for himself is rarely if ever seen at all. Blane knows when it is necessary to cut his extroversion short, so he isn't a nuisance.

Logic, or Emotion?

Being a former soldier of 'the war' means understanding to trust logic and orders above all else. Without a captain at hand, Blane has bouts of confusion within himself, concerning whether he should act on what's right in mind or what's right at heart. Despite his time in the army, his heart still spoke very strongly, so even then he felt as conflicted as he does now.

Intelligence

Since Blane had to heavily rely on logic a time before, he enjoyed reading books and learning new things, from construction, control, maintenance to strategics, languages and ideas. At the same time, he learned how to feign ignorance, to fool the enemy into thinking he was a simpleton. Nowadays he likes to relay all he knows to whoever happens to lend an ear.

Laid Back - 180!

Despite all the cheerfulness and calm Blane spreads among those by him, he is still ready for battle wherever and whenever. His ability to seemingly change personalities has been seen by the few who have lingered when danger was nearby, and each time it is a shock to those who witness it. Still, he attempts to keep portraying himself as a relaxed friend to all after danger has passed.

Empathy and Selflessness

Blane's kindness knows no bounds. Many wonder how he can be so charitable, especially to kalons who he'd never met before. The answer is this- 'everyone deserves a touch of kindness, from the fairest fae to the malicious miscreant. Perhaps that touch will help them gain hope for better days'. Gossipers chatter between themselves, for they believe Blane may have been a poor boy from a land now perished. Blane doesn't mind the rumors, for he understands that it is a pastime, nothing more.

Kalon Personality: Nkosana is best described as a gentleman. Good etiquette is second nature to him and has been since he was a child. As a legitimate prince of his homeland, it's no big surprise that he was raised to be a great leader. He knows a lot about policy, fighting, and just generally being so perfect and charming it makes you want to throw up. But human interaction is in no way his thing. Anyone he meets knows immediately that it all an act and since he can't genuinely show emotion, he has literally no friends. Sometimes, when people say they have no friends, they don't really mean it. It is the honest to goodness truth with Nkosana. He has no siblings, his parents "love" him like parents do (but it's not true connection for him), and any other people he comes in contact with (servants, other politicians and royalty, etc.) can hardly stand his facade of perfection for more than a second.
But this hardly means Nkosana is as emotionless and uncaring as he seems. Social situations are just almost completely impossible for him to deal with, so reverting to his ingrained teaching is the only way he can continue speaking to others. If anyone was able to speak to him--really honestly speak to him--they'd find an excitable child, completely happy to speak about anything for many hours. He has extensive knowledge about almost anything, from mathematics to religions and he'd talk about any of them with you as if they were a candy he enjoyed. He's a very energetic person, who has conversations with himself often and can paint the most amazing abstract, emotional art pieces. He can write so many beautiful poems and songs, and inspirational novels. And he has, but he burns them all.
His life is black and white so he feels as if he has a semblance of control about what other people think of him. Showing a side of him that isn't the perfection that was ingrained into him as a child feels dangerous to him. He spews out lies in hopes that no one will be able to see that he's truly someone who never got a childhood, that simply wants to feel happy and let others know.

T H E _ L O V E R

Elis is, simply put, a lover. Not only is he a huge flirt, but he's a lover of fine things, of jazz music, and of long, romantic walks on the beach. (Just kidding.)
Primarily, when Elis meets someone new, he flirts with them. Regardless of whether he's actually interested in pursuing the relationship, it just slips out. Pickup lines and romantic jokes fall from his tongue before he can stop them, and his naturally flirtatious nature means that he also has to be good at dodging romantic advances, not just sending them.
Elis is also accustomed to a somewhat cushy lifestyle. Growing up in a wealthy family, he was used to being waited on hand and foot, and rarely having to settle for less than the best. This also means that he can appreciate when something is of the finest quality, though.
Lastly, Elis' passion is above all for jazz music. A trumpet player from a young age, he practically lives for all forms of music, whether he understands them or not. Above all, though, jazz won his heart early on and he has pursued it as an art form ever since.
