Ivan is a friendly kalon but he has one short temper espically when it comes to others making fun of his looks.
He's also a perfectionist and will spend hours to make a design he's working on look right. He's also very family oriented and loves his family, friends and kits. He's also very romantic and showers his mate with tons of affection and can be very protective of them. He's also very creative, you can't leave a blank piece of paper lying in front of him without him drawing or doodling on it.

Ivan came from a pretty normal home, his mother stayed at home and his father was in the navy. As the only child in his family is was often spoiled by his parents especially his mother. Once he got older his temper started to show, he'd often get into fights with other male kits cause they'd call him girly looking or ask if he was a girl. This when on for most of his life till he graduated high school and went to art school.
He's now in training to become a tattoo artist with another kalon Bella, who he's developing a crush on.

Castorena is kind, gentle and loves beauty, harmony and peace. However, in her effort to keep everyone happy, she can find it difficult to say ‘NO’ to anyone, and as a result, she ends up getting stressed. Castorena is well-known for her diplomatic skills and have the ability to listen to differing points of view with a great deal of patience. She is the one that, when an argument starts between her friends, normally ends the conflict with a solution for both sides of the conflict. Castorena never goes to extremes, and mostly chooses the middle path in order to please the people around her, whatever the issues may be.

When dealing with herself or put under pressure, one of the most difficult things for Castorena is to make a decision. When faced with a choice, it is very tough for her to select what is best for herself and the people involved, which can become a big hurdle in her path. She has a strong sense of justice and fair play. She may skillfully find her way out, but she will never resort to cunning methods to get what she wants. She has a very pleasing manner of talking and also choose pleasant subjects to talk about, which makes people feel happy in her company.

Castorena can come up with brilliant and novel ideas using her imaginative powers. However, in the process she can end up with ideas that may not be too practical, or may be too over-ambitious. Most of the time, she has a friend read over her ideas and scraps the ones that they say aren't too great. It's hard for her to make friends at times, as she is inclined to doubt people’s intentions as she carries an imaginary fear, and cross-checks everything anyone she newly meets says. She is both mentally and physically clingy. She can find it difficult to let go of things close to her heart, and hence, she find it difficult to look beyond the imperfections and move on. Because it is so hard for her to make new friends, she often clings to the ones she has now.

As a Kit
Castorena led a very tame life. Her father wasn't in her life anymore, so she was left with her mother. Her mother was a librarian and brought her in with her to work and read to her on her breaks. She was so fascinated that these simple words on pages could paint such brilliant pictures of grandeur and fantasy in her head. As soon as she could read, she practically began absorbing books. Castorena's teachers commented on her ferocity to read, reading any books she could get her paws on. When asked why she enjoyed reading so much, she replied with "My mommy told me books are an easy way to forget your worries."

As a Teen
By the time she was 12, she had nearly a college grade reading level. Nearly every book in her middle school library she had read, if not all she had reread. Her favorite book series was and still is to this day the 1-800-Where-R-U series by Meg Cabot. She had decided what she wanted to do for a living by the age of 16, and had her heart set on it. She wanted to be an author like her favorite author Meg Cabot. She began writing her own short stories, and competed in the school's writing competitions. She didn't win every one, but her favorite win was with her short piece of prose called 'I Shouldn't Be Scared.'

As an Adult
Completing her schooling was a rough task for Castorena. High school and college were not at all what she imagined them to be, and barely completed high school. After high school, she took a year off to relax and do things other than schooling. She traveled to Switzerland with her mother's help to visit her friend Angela, who had been her childhood doctor before moving back to Switzerland. The two had gotten back into contact with each other when they had found each other on social media. After a year in Switzerland, she decided to stay in Switzerland and go back to school there. Getting her degrees from the Swiss Literature Institute, she moved back to America and now lives and writes in America to be closer to her romantic interest and not halfway around the world.

"I Shouldn't Be Scared"
"I Shouldn't Be Scared" was a poem that she wrote after she lost a close friend to bullying. She wrote it from her friend's standpoint based on what she had heard from her friend, and presented it at her high school's writing competition her senior year. The poem got her first place that year.

"I shouldnt be scared to be myself.
I shouldn't be scared of the "monster under my bed".
I shouldn't be scared of thunder.
I shouldn't be scared of my shadow.
I am not afraid of those things,
But there are many things I am afraid of.

Failure.
Rejection.
Making a fool of myself.
The kid in my history class.

Being alone.

These are all things I fear,
Things that I deal with every day of my life.
Things that I do every day and pay the price for.

One day it will get better.

Friends/Relationships

Angela || Mother Figure || Owned by myself
Angela is Castorena's mother figure while she lives in Switzerland. Angela used to be her doctor until she moved back to her native home of Switzerland. She and Castorena reconnected after they found each other on social media and kept talking with each other afterwards. Angela was a large help for Castorena, helping her find the Swiss Literature Institute and helping her get into the college. She was all of Castorena's help her first year in Switzerland. She helped her get a home and a job to support herself while she paid for college, and helped Castorena keep herself on her feet. Even though she's graduated now and moved back to America to be with her romantic interest, she still keeps tabs on her.

She and Citrus met when she was visiting home from Switzerland. He had been stopped in the airport because he had been stopped by security for having his chicken with him while trying to go through the metal detectors. She offered him a ride home, and on the way home they talked and discussed their pasts. Turns out he had graduated a year after her, and the two had actually talked a lot during their years together in high school. They share a love for animals, and will spend hours talking a out it over the phone. Castorena herself owns a small bird she named after her favorite cloud type, Nimbus. He helped her pick out the white cockatiel and taught her how to raise it. She's seen his honey bees countless times but never get tired of seeing them, she loves honey bees.



Mateo || Romantic Interest || Owned by king city

Mateo and Castorena have known each other since they were young. Castorena used to help Mateo read in first grade, and had play dates quite frequently. Their favorite thing to do was watch movies during thsee play dates, and that carries on as they grew up. The two are inseparable, always chattering about this movie or that one, talking about how good they were or how horrible the CGI was in that one. The two obviously have something going on between them, call it chemistry if you may. She adores the big flirt of a Kalon and loves being around him. She'll tell you that her favorite thing about Mateo is that she can watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding as many times as she wants and cuddle with him the entire time. But in reality, she loves everything about him, from his smile to his eyes to the way he'll listend to her oh so intently as she rambles on about movies.

Haruka lightly nibbled at the end of his pen while waiting to take down his customers orders. The small cafe was gaining in popularity. His table was taking too much time picking so Haru flicked his tail upwards drawing the table's attention back to him. "Perhaps I could suggest something just as sweet as the customers at my table? All lovely dear's deserve to treat themselves with a little something delicious occasionally." When he heard the small whispers of please do he continued to ask if there where flavors they prefer or if they had any allergies.

The best thing about working here was the growing small stream of new regulars. Seeing someone start to come in more often always put Haru into a small tizzy. Looking at their faces, remembering their names and mostly becoming a part of their monthly, weekly or even daily lives always brought a certain warmth to his heart.

Human Choice of clothing-
He prefers clothes that leave everything to others imagination. Long sleeve turtle necks are one of his favorite things to wear when it is in season. His wardrobe is expansive and he dresses according to the season.

Childhood:
Haruka's mother heavily enforced kindness towards others while he was still small. He felt very enclosed as a small child. Pushing around the idea of friendship he never really found close friends. Having yet to experience such a close relationship many adults worried about him. It was really hard for him to understand why until he got a bit older. Living in modern conditions as Haruka grew into a teenager he became attached to social media. His best friends were his followers and his phone. Eventually his followers and school mates became one in the same. He studied hard but couldn't seem to become anything more than average in his education. Hitting the wall at a young age he basically gave up on becoming anything serious and decided to instead find a job where he would be happy rather than successful.

Haruka's First Regular

Karma and Haru have been friends for quite some time now. Karma became Haru's very first regular when he started working. The second Haru sees Karma walk in the door he rushes off to get her a coffee fix. They are both very talkative and spend their time chatting away on slow days.
