Something they've lost;; “What did I lose?” Amber eyes stare with mild shock. “I’ve never been asked that. Why are you so curious about the losses I have earned in life? You shrug...Why is that? Do you not know a reason? Ah well...I’m told by a lot of other vaikis that I appear a lot older than I really am. Like my eyes hold more wisdom than they should. I guess in a way they are right. What did I lose...that’s a hard question really. I’ve lost a lot of things. Friends, family, food, you name it. I guess the one that sticks out the most in my overly complicated history is the fact I lost a home. I lived there all of my childhood. With that home, I lost the greatest friend anybody could ask for. So cliche huh? I guess it is. Aren’t we all exposed to some kind of cliche? I’m sure you expected something more grand. Less common, like me stating I lost a tooth or something stupid. Haha. To be honest, losing that home and friend has turned me into the person I am now. I was just a hot headed kid who was always ready to fight. I wouldn’t back down and I often got in trouble with the older vaikis.”
“I lived with a human on an island. Hawaii I think it was called. Something like that. It was warm there and so nice. However, that was ruined when the volcano on the island erupted. I was forced to flee while my human friend, Charlie, stayed behind to help others...She didn’t make it out. It was hard, to suddenly lose both my home and only true friend to that horrible accident. I was lost, confused, as anybody would. Who wants to think about losing a home? A place they grew up in, created so many memories from, and enjoyed so much. That was suddenly gone for me. The memories etched into those walls. The laughs, the tears, the joy, the grief. It was all there. Suddenly wiped away. Same goes for losing a friend."
“Many believe friends last forever, that nothing can rip you two apart. I was torn away from my friend. Charlie was so kind. Always wanting to help. At least...she died doing what she loved. That’s my story. What I lost. It’s nothing to grand...but it hurts. Hey kid...when you get something you love, always make sure to show them that. No matter what happens, at least tell them near the end of the day you love them, or show them that you care before they leave your sight. You might regret it if you have a fight and that’s the last thing between you two. Alright? At least promise me that much as repayment for me telling you this. You will? That’s good. Personality;;
Kibou is a vaiki who tries to bring hope to others after the lost of his greatest friend and only home. Kibou claims to have no home as nothing could replace the one he lost to a volcano. He is a soft spoke vaiki who prefers wisdom and truth over lies and deceit. He is a strong vaiki, often coming to protect the weak and helpless. He is a helpful vaiki, having knowledge in a lot of areas of study. However, the one thing he hates more that lies and deceit is water. Many would think it’s lava and fire, but just the opposite. He can barely stand water, only staying in it long enough to bath. Kibou isn’t harsh, but firm and always tries to word things properly so people understand him. Kibou has a lot of patience, and never loses his temper. He always tries to remain calm and cool under pressure so he can be a guide to those in a panic. For many, he seems scary due to his dragon-like appearance but he is very kind and caring, even to those many would fear. Kibou likes to think of himself as a helper to everybody.

His goal is to bring hope to everybody in need. Kibou doesn’t own much due to this, often giving away the stuff he gets from others to those who will need it more than him. Kibou often runs into Cery, another wanderer who is more curious about learning than helping. Kibou views Cery as a valued friend and loves to hang around Cery and his youngest child, Biscuit, who is often with Cery on the less dangerous adventures. Cery is a messenger of a sorts and often speaks of Kibou, and sometimes is even ahead of the dragon-like vaiki when it comes to visiting other vaikis. Kibou is semi-popular, but is often referred to as “The Dragon” by many. He doesn’t mind this, and finds the nickname almost amusing. Kibou does have his own fears, and often speaks them to others he is giving wisdom too to in hopes they know that everybody has fears, even if they appear strong willed.
