Username:
DauntlessDivergentC - Isabella45
Show Name:
We Were Soldiers
Barn Name:
Veteran
Story:
Renegade War Veteran
Personality:

Veteran is known to be more tame than his brother Renegade. He isn't as rebellious for one and tends to try to tame his brother rather than join him. He can be highly secretive and rarely speaks of his past as a horse that was used in combat. He prefers to keep to himself and stay quiet. He would basically be the equivalency of the guy in a dark mysterious corner in some bar. Quiet. Alone. Mysterious.
To his brother he is a protector and a guide. He wants to guide his brother down the right path out of fear for his brother to go down the wrong path. He wants to insure his brother's future and keep him from going rogue. He is not happy about his brother's rebellious nature. He would like for his brother to be more responsible.
To a lover he is passionate. He will devote his time and energy making her feel like a princess. He wants to do the right thing and be the best stallion he possibly can be for his girl. He will treat her right and make sure she is happy, healthy, loved, and well cared for.
This little authoritive boy might seem to be overbearing at times. It really honestly isn't his fault. He learned a lot while in combat. He might be bold at times if the need demands and always strives to be the better horse. He doesn't like excuses and prefers the truth. The more honest the better. He doesn't really care how honest. This part of him is highly contrasted to his secretive nature. He likes honesty, but doesn't want to tell everyone what he knows. He would much rather keep it to himself than to exploit everything.

Relationship with Brother:

Veteran tries his best to calm his wild brother, Renegade, and get him to think clearly before he acts. Sometimes he wishes his brother would be more responsible and reasonable. Veteran believes it is his soul purpose to care for his brother. After all, he did make a promise to their dam and sire that he would watch over and care for his brother in the war after the family had been separated.
Veteran finds it hard to trust his irresponsible brother. Since Renegade often gets in trouble, Veteran has had to bail him out of it. He doesn't mind helping his brother, but he wishes he would listen to his advice and learn to follow commands. He doesn't give advice just to be bossy, he does so because he loves and cares about his brother. He wants his brother to succeed in life and is willing to pull through in order to help him.
Renegade often rejects his brother's protective and caring nature. He is always so independent and foolish. Hence why he is often in trouble. Still, however, Veteran does care deeply about his brother because he is all he has. Veteran never had time to find a mate. Between the army and Renegade, he just didn't have the time to search for a mare that could possibly calm him down. He isn't searching for one because he would rather stick close and watch over his only family member left. He will remain Renegade's guardian for many years to come and will probably never stop being a guardian to those he loves most.
Renegade did try to push a sweet, darling little girl at him. Her name was Belle. She was really interested in him, but Veteran thought it best to ignore the poor girl. He didn't have time for a mate. He wanted to protect his brother. He would only admit to himself that saying no to Belle did hurt. Perhaps later on in time he would come back and sweep her off her feet and show her the wonders of the world.
The two worked closely together in their time as combat horses. They worked together, but often times did not see eye to eye. Veteran would always know what to do that would be safe for everyone else. Renegade however would be the rebellious one that would do whatever it took even if it could have hurt someone else. It's these times that Veteran wished his brother was responsible and smart to figure things out. Yes, he is proud of his brother when he does do something right, but can quickly get disappointed in his brother. Don't get him wrong, he loves his brother in a way that only a brother can, but sometimes his brother does need to be taught a lesson.
There was time when his brother would continually run off from the rest of the force. He would purposely break his ripe and try to run. It wasn't till the army had named him runaway and sold him off to a stable that finally knocked some sense into him. Perhaps he enjoyed his time away from the army, but Veteran doesn't know. He stayed with the army till they retired him and sent him to a retirement home at Artillery Stables. He was allowed to see his brother and stay at a pasture that sat nearby the other stables where Renegade was kept. Veteran is still trying g to give his brother advice and continue to make him a better horse.

that smol bean inter is min e <3

    username: novak
show name: the fist of hell's kitchen
barn name: daniel rand or danny
personality: danny is ambitionless, a hollowed shell of what once was an intensely focused colt hellbent on avenging lost relatives. his entire demeanor collapsed upon his revelation of his being unable to follow through with his set plans of revenge and destroy the destroyer. what remains of his spunk is more or less just a whisper of the past, a glimpse of the naivety he clung so desperately to. those traits of himself have long sense disappeared and been replaced; pragmatic for the callow, humble instead of prestigious, doubt in place of overbearing confidence. without the cloud of credence that the world would bow to him hazing his view, danny found himself overly aware of the fact that when compared to others, his own life was insignificant and that nothing drastic would ever happen without influence from himself. he would become the hero of his own tale. despite the steady declaration of heroism, the stud still harbors massive doubts within his mind with most being directed toward himself, lowered self esteem fuels these negative, self-abusive thoughts like hellfire. he is overtly analytical and quite skeptical about what he does, constantly on his own back for the simplest mistakes. however, despite those doubts, danny seldom descends into self-pitying and whining. he lacks a clear path, but does clearly wish for a good life filled with those he cares for and ease, less tension on the heroism front while concentrating more on his own happiness. generally he is described as amiable, an open-minded yet laid back type of character that projects himself as jovial and social, hardly anywhere comedian level as he isn't as humorous as he believes himself to be. his jokes are often the cheesy type you'd be able to predict from a mile away, but danny enjoys them well enough. he strives to avoid violence - has ever since his failed attempt of revenge - but can be found along the frontlines when provoked. his morals happen to outweigh the dubiety concerns running rampant throughout his mind. if he can assist in sparing other's lives, danny will jump on the opportunity, adding the trait of being self sacrificial to his cliche list of hero-like features. the stud - despite being rather social and likeable - finds that working within a group or by his lonesome aren't quite his cup of tea; the former will drive him to believe he relies too much on others and that it dulls him, while the latter he feels he could achieve more as part of a dedicated force for good. his perfect equilibrium is a duo, his partner being none other than his brother, luke. there the two balance themselves out and work like a well oiled machine.
relationship with brother: luke and danny's relationship is not always the picture prefect duo they might often display, surely it is harmonious if viewed in generality but there are inevitable rough patches in which they will squabble before dusting each other off and joking over the matter constantly lingering on the horizon. the brothers are very much different in their own ways, and they acknowledge this factor openly; luke is a chronic do-gooder with a stone exterior but a true soft spot for nearly any in trouble, observational and well prepared for most any situation thrown his way while danny is the down-to-earth voice of reason sent to coax him from his headstrong ways, more reluctant than the other when it come to their readiness to aid others. often the only sorts for conflict they'll encounter will be those happened upon as danny is forced to bring down his stoic faced brother from whatever danger he's fixated his gaze upon, though even these slight arguments are not a common sight. the ensuing altercations will roughly follow the same outline: luke pointing out heavily that their assistance is needed by whomever, danny calmly acknowledging this but also providing the point of them not getting themselves killed for someone who is not able to be salvaged, luke will argue more and attempt to rile his counterpart into any other mood besides the neutralness he displays before eventually giving in to his request and following along being him hesitantly. as long as there is no immediate threat hovering over innocents, the boys tend to both be more level headed than any time they are working, which also means danny begins to spiral. danny - as you know - has severe doubt and self esteem issues that he bottles up within himself, when not allowed to work these negatives come flowing at a rapid rate, departing through the only viable exit. his mouth. when he begins voicing his doubts is when luke will arrive to dish out a sort of brotherly therapy session. his hold on danny is so strong that he can coax him from whatever mind set he is overtaken by and force him to a complete 180 back into his usual self in the span of one brief conversation. despite their differences, danny and luke do seem to be quite a feat in the way they mold together so seamlessly. they may be opposites in nearly every aspect but they are two halves of a whole altruistic idiot and they wouldn't have it any other way.
extra: twin siblings are an odd feat of life, eternal companions who often do not hold the same views of the world but manage to maintain the closest of bonds 'til death do them part. luke and danny are no exception to the cliche. despite one being the unrelenting hero of all stories and the other being the anchor of reality for the both of them, they somehow remain inseparable in every aspect of life. the only time their relationship seemed to be in peril would be long ago before they were near to being yearlings. a terrible day for them both that would shape the remainder of their lives.
the sun perched heavily over the world in it's usual noon position with a thin veil of silver clouds sheltering the ground from too harsh of rays, a warm orange tint settling over the land. it had recently rained, the air clean yet thick with the lingering after smells, the ground damp enough to create slick mud one would need to tread carefully upon. while the remainder of the nearby world recovered for the shower, two residents of the area began causing more chaos but flinging the damp soil with their feet. danny and luke - as antsy colts tend to - barreled to and fro across the slick ground on their young hooves, barely out of ten months. they tumbled and sparred feverishly, all the while erupting with high-pitched chirps of laughter, causing quite the uproar in the otherwise silent community. between the snippets of giggles and general thrashing sounded a voice as pleasant as a spring storm yet more stern than a military officer. "boys," it warned, patience clearly waning. "if you'd like to continue being loud, would you mind playing somewhere else?" both youngsters halted their actions and nodded in unison without missing so much as a beat, not daring misspeak before their lovely dam as she smiled gently and urged them off with a nudge of the muzzle. the elder - luke, as usual - took lead of their little duo with lengthy strides and a high nose as the dwarfed danny trotted along at his heel, excited nonetheless to continue their antics. they were a sight, jogging along an unseen path through damp grass and plastered head to toe in dark muck. "where 're we headin', lu?" danny questioned in his soft voice - a voice very much like their mother's. luke rolled his head backwards to glance at his twin, a mischievous grin parting his muzzle in a terribly suspicious sort of way. "a special place." the elder brother chirped, then sauntered along into a tangled mess of forest. he picked his steps with a fluid cautiousness that pulled him from sight quickly almost as if he'd been through this sort of thing beforehand. this would seem an innocent action if only one were to ignore their dam's unwavering rule of never entering the wood under any circumstances, that the area was too hazardous for young colts their age. unfortunately for luke, danny did recall the rule and halted before his little hooves could brush the undergrowth. "luke, what about mother's rule?" the colt's anxious tone held the same warning as earlier displayed by their dam, causing his counterpart to emerge from within a shadow and linger just beyond reach. "what 'bout it? you gonna run off and tell mommy? what 're you, a chicken?" luke was teasing, a manipulative little boy coaxing danny off into some sort of unknown area with prodding words. of course dan followed his example, he was no chicken after all.
muttering a low, "shove off." the younger lad clambered along the places his brother had flattened upon his entering the tangle of underbrush, pausing only slightly to narrow his eyes before continuing on with his careful pace. he didn't very much appreciate the way luke bounded ahead and allowed for the branches snagged on his body to whip backwards and claw across his face, nor how he took every opportunity to dramatically stomp down in puddles of dirty rain water and coat the younger with an unwelcome spray of frigid, near-mud like substance. but he held his tongue. he hadn't the guts to speak up and ask to turn back, he'd be teased for too long of a time to risk it. instead he kept pace with his counterpart, drawing up beside him as the underbrush thinned and path widened. luke began to become antsy a short time into their journey - adding more of a spring to his step and dancing on the spot - and only added to danny's want to abandon whatever death march luke had set them upon. "hey, d." spoke luke, traces of mischief laced throughout his words. he didn't wait for a reply before shouting, "you're it!" throwing his side into dan, and sprinting off ahead.
balance thrown off by the sudden collision, danny lost his footing and toppled down to his knees, weight shifting to the right and gravity yanking him harshly down a rather steep embankment. he had enough time to choke out a broken "l-uke" and see his brother turn back before he'd actually began to slide past the crest. it was a nasty fall, filled with violent twists and flailing limbs despite danny's best efforts to brace himself or even halt this unwelcome trip. he closed out the world, ignored the sights, numbed the feeling, blurred the noises, just simply became a limp body being hurled across the ground. so when the adventure finally ended and he fell onto his side without much thought, the pain hadn't become apparent. it was still there, however, in his throat, his ankle, everywhere. if he'd been dirty before he could be defined as beyond filthy at this point. glossy red irises stared blankly up at the ridge where a stock-still luke stood paralyzed. neither twin could move in the moment. the time scene seemed to slug by until a flash of pale champagne joined them, following after danny's path with more grace. their mother, both a blessing and a curse. her eyes glared with hellfire and the beginnings of panicked tears as she examined her fallen offspring and aided him in clambering to his feet. they traveled along the more manageable sloped ground surrounding the embankment and back along the way the colts had took earlier, danny stumbling and sniveling every so often while luke shadowed them with an unsettling silence.
it would seem that dan escaped with a twisted ankle and some minor gashes along his back. he recovered physically within two weeks but became much more wary of any idea proposed by luke and turned into a much more reserved version of his old self. luke, however physically unharmed, transformed into a vigilante's fantasy, he became obsessed with helping others and would go to any lengths to do so. the two spoke not a word to each other the entire time danny was recovering, but the first words shared between them were soft 'i love you's. a silent agreement to never speak of the events of that day ever again has settled over their minds and remains unwavering 'til this day.

    username: legend-
    show name: Halls of Mandos
    barn name: Auleonnar | "Aule"
    personality:
Only way to figure out a character is to read the book. Aule is just that. He is a stubborn stallion who's rough and not very expressive. Holding responsibility for everything he does, he's always aware of his actions, although he can get carried away when he's with Madoc. Madoc is truly the only mustang that brings out the honest personality of Aule.

    relationship with brother:
Having that brotherly connection has always been the stronghold between Madoc and Aule. Having their different perspectives, feelings, and mindsets, they've learned so much about each other over the years, most mustangs would call it false these two arent related, but thats the truth. Madoc isnt related to Aule in anyway, which makes them even better friends in a weird way. Aule is only kept in check when Madoc is around.

Congrats <3. I felt that you and Isabella did the most work as a pair, and collectively had the most character development so these two are yours. ^^

However I would like to offer an RU to Novak, because your form was very thought out and developed, so your pon will be up soon <3.
