What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

Why: I chose 'The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa because I love that the sculpture is a form of autobiography and the meaning she puts behind it, “The pain,” she writes, “was so severe that it made me utter several moans. The sweetness caused by this intense pain is so extreme that one cannot possibly wish it to cease, nor is one’s soul then content with anything but God.” (The Life of Saint Teresa of Ávila by herself, Chapter 29) This its Essence because she is subtle but intense, the beauty behind a wild but only tame for one person Khimaira. Her backstory will give her a rough young life and as she gets older she becomes a sweet and more trusting mare.

Salvinia is a very wise mare for her age. As a child prodigy, she honed her intellectual skills and soon became one of the smartest and wisest horses in the stable. Horses often come to her for advices as the see her to be someone they can rely on and learn from.
Like the picture of the old lady with the child, it is as if the old lady is bestowing advices and knowledge to the young child, like how Salvinia will give advices to the horses.
