Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Pᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ||

Charm is a boisterous, pleasant little fellow, with a love for candy and fun alike. Very easily
excitable and always eager to explore, he's got an infectious tendency to give anyone he sees
a big, beaming smile. You'll never see him frown; rarely is he ever somber enough to take
anything you say seriously. That isn't to say, however, that he's impossible to get along with for
sake of lack of communication. He's surprisingly smart, if not a genius, and tends to know exactly
where he is and what he's doing...most of the time. Adventurism is nearly an instinct to the fluffy
blue kalon, and his endless curiosity only compiles with his need for excitement to form a very
dangerous persona when bored.

He possesses a natural innocence born of being a child's creation. He himself is very childish,
always resorting to the sillier of two options when presented with the choice. It's hard to get him
to take anything the wrong way, as he naturally always assumes the best of people and assigns
positive intentions to everyone he encounters. This makes it very easy for him to be taken
advantage of. Luckily, he seems to be likeable enough to make it so very few people are able to
willingly take advantage of him, and he's generally just everyone's friend.

Hᴏᴡ ᴅɪᴅ ᴛʜᴇʏ ɢᴇᴛ ʜᴇʀᴇ?||

Though it sounds odd, Lucky and Charm started as merely a child's drawing, living in a land
of cotton candy bushes and huge lollipop trees. Even Lucky and Charm themselves were covered
in sugar, from their heads to their tails, just like everything else in their world. It may not be
surprising to hear that they were created during breakfast. In fact, the kid who made them named
the two after his favorite cereal, too.

It's not clear how, but the two little sugary creatures were somehow made real, coming to life right
off the page they were drawn on. They had fallen asleep in their candy world and woken up in the real
world without a clue as to what was going on or how they got there. They soon realized that not only
was the world they were in different, but they were different as well! They were no longer covered
in a fine layer of sugar, they were much fluffier than they used to be, and the star pattern on their
fur was no longer just a pattern, it was now a shine. In coming to life, they had become kalons as well!

The real world was so much different to the one they were used to, and though they woke up confused
and curious, it didn't take them any time at all to see this as a new adventure! Though they miss their
sweet home, they're excited to learn how to live in this new strange world they've found themselves in.

Rᴇʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴsʜɪᴘ ᴛᴏ Lᴜᴄᴋʏ||

Lucky and Charm were both created at the same time by a kid, made to be the best of friends on their candy filled world. Even in the real world, Lucky continues to be Charm's very best friend, and Charm would even go so far as to call him family, though they aren't actually related at all.

They've been through everything together, from the adventures in their own world and also in the real one now. Charm loves Lucky like a brother, and would do anything in his ability to make sure Lucky is always happy and always has someone to listen to him and look out for him. And Charm knows Lucky would do the same for him too.

Fʀɪᴇɴᴅs||

Reed Reefer ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
When Lucky and Charm first entered the world, they had no idea what to think. Dropped unexpectedly
into a totally new reality, their only real choice was to wander until they found someone or something,
and when they found other kalons, Reed was the one that caught their eye. He looked quite a bit like
they, after all, so of course he had to be willing to help, right?

At first he wasn't willing in the slightest. As the two brightly-colored and crazy-sounding kalons peppered
him with questions about his appearance and yammered on about candy, he was at first a little freaked
out by their lack of social skills. After a few minutes of observation, however, he realized just how much
help they needed--and weren't going to get from other kalons. Begrudgingly, he offered to guide them
around their new world, and they instantly stuck to him like feathers in glue, delighted to have made a
new friend so quickly.

The duo hardly ever leaves the poor kalon alone, in fact. Every few minutes it's Reed this, Reed that, Reed
why is that glowing, Reed who is that, etc., etc. Despite his impatience with some of their basic questions,
he answers them all, and Lucky and Charm absolutely adore him.

Tʀɪᴠɪᴀ||

☆ ┈ He, along with Lucky, possesses a strange immunity to sugar, and in fact consumes rather
surprising amounts almost daily.
☆ ┈ His favorite candy is...himself. When he discovered that gummy sharks exist, he delighted in collecting bags and bags of them.
☆ ┈ Charm loves Lucky Charms just as much as Lucky does.
☆ ┈ He's very physically affectionate and doesn't always recognize personal space in favor of giving out hugs to everyone he sees.
☆ ┈ He likes the band Cake purely because they're named Cake.
☆ ┈ He and Lucky are experts in candy. They know every type of candy ever to have existed, and can even recognize obscure candies from the smell alone.

Cᴜʀɪᴏsɪᴛʏ||

"What's that? Is it a gingerbread house?"
"No, Lucky, it's a--"
"Does anyone live there? Does it have a jellybean path?"
"What? No, they don't have--"
"Do they have any pets?"
"I--"
"Ooh, maybe they have a licorice kitten! I love those, they're so cute!"
"What is a--"
"Or a cinnadog!"
Reed pressed his paws against his brow with a stifled groan. They were affectionate and eager to learn, and always kindhearted. The biggest issue was that they were too eager to learn.
"Listen, nobody actually lives there, but kalons are allowed to stay there for as long as they like so long as they pay for it. It's--"
"Why does it have so many windows?" Lucky was staring at him wide eyed.
Taking a deep breath, he continued, "It's called a hotel, and that's where kalons usually stay when they're traveling from one place to another and need somewhere to stay and sleep."
Charm cocked his head. "Why don't they just sleep in the soft grass?"
"You can get sick out in the cold at night," Reed told him.
Both kalons looked up at the hotel once more. Lucky pointed at the door as an orange kalon walked through into the building. "What does it look like on the inside?"
"Well, there's a big counter with other kalons working behind it, and--"
"How many kalons?" Charm was watching him eagerly.
"Ah...usually about um...one to three. Anyways, you ask them for a room and give them money, and they give you a--"
"Money? What's money?" Lucky queried, looking puzzled. "Is that a kind of candy? I wouldn't think so, because I know all types of candy and that one isn't one of them."
Reed realized then that he'd eventually need to explain the entire economy to two full sized kalons with attention spans the size of a pea.
Oh boy.
"I'll explain that one uh...later. So you give them the money and then they hand you this key that you take to one of the doors with a number on it, and you get to stay in that room for as long as you keep paying them. There's usually about four or five floors in a hotel."
A moment of silence passed, and Reed shifted somewhat uncomfortably as they both stared at him with blank expressions.
Charm's eye suddenly caught something to his right, and he broke into a big smile as he bounced off towards it, crying, "Butterfly! Butterfly!"
Lucky gave Reed the most genuine innocent look he'd ever seen.
"Can we stay in one?"
He didn't stifle his groan this time.
