Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Adam is a romantic; a sweet-talker, you could say. He believes cakes and
chocolates are the foods of love- especially desserts all drizzled and dressed in
amorous reds. Shackled by the mob’s chains, Adam is tied up in crime and active
in the mafia. Although flirtatious, no one usually expects such a tuffie to be so fond
of something as trifling as cake. He just dies for it.

From a young age, Adam was passionate about cooking. He aimed to perfect his skills,
and even opened a bakery as a teenager- which he would try to expand as an adult.
He appreciated food very deeply; the sensations of taste, the feelings it brought others.
But despite this devotion, his business would fail.

Without a source of income, Adam would become desperate and resort to crime. After
congregating with the mob, they would never let him leave without catching him dead.
He knew too much, and was forced to adjust.

Now he's often found lounging around bars and alleyways, sometimes with business
partners. He uses his culinary knowledge whenever possible; hiding messages for
powerful criminal individuals in his treats. He's threatened by death daily, and secretly

Driving up in a bright red car with
an Uber sticker on car's windshield,
the driver, Lysander, rolled down
his window to the blue kalon waiting
outside the airport. "Roel?" He asked.

"Yup, that's me!" The kalon responded.

Lysander got out to help Roel with his
luggage and then got back in, leaving
Lysander to ask the question: "Where
are we going?"

"To the nearest Best Western!" Roel
replied, chuckling a bit. In his lap, he

With a mouth full of food, Roel

As expected, cake is pretty much everything to this handsome boy. Though quite ironically, he hates red velvet cake. Instead, he goes head over heels for a simple angel food cake (and he loves to top it with cool whip!)

Normally, Boston will eat cheese cake instead. He finds it a lot better than normal cake!

"What do I think about cake? It's perhaps the most divine thing in existence! The diversity of cream filling, coloration of the bread, as well as an assortment of flavors, cake's heaven for the mouth and mind. I myself can't help but have my fair share of red velvet cake with cream filling, the vibrant hue of the cake's bread clashes wonderfully against the gentle color that decorates its top and inside. I must say, the only downfall for loving cake would have to be how short it exists, as it is a temptation that no one in their right mind can resist. Anyway, I believe cake is the perfect gift for any occasion. Is someone having a bad day? Make them some carrot cake! Did your best friend just get a date? How does some devil's cake sound for the merry-maker? It's wonderful! Cake has so many uses; each one is unique in its own way. Maybe I'm a cake connoisseur, but the light dessert's something that deserves to be on everyone's table, regardless of the occasion.

To be honest, I think it'd be socially acceptable to have cake by itself, which I might've tried. "

no.. just, no! cake is disgusting. why would
you have cake when you could have chocolate?
it's fluffier, and it is even more delicious and
chocolatey than chocolate cake! the only cake
valentino will stand is cake with chocolates on it,
or red velvet cake (because of the colors). yep,
valentino is a chocolatier. and even though plenty
of other kalons in his line of work enjoy cake just
as much as anyone, valent takes his job so seriously
that he really won't eat any sort of sweet (healthy
foods are fine) if there isn't any chocolate in it.
honestly, you'd think he'd be sick of chocolate by
now. but he isn't. he can replicate a cakes fluffyness
with a soft, inner milk chocolate filling. frosting can be made just with a soft outside, or a layer of the inside. sprinkles? they're just as good on chocolate. he's great at his job, and he likes to be able to replicate any other dessert's texture with his delicious chocolates- so why in the world would he ever need cake?
