Little bit about the species!

Zozars are tall fox like canines with sharp horns on their head and back. Their horns vary in size, shape, color, and amount. These creatures usually live in dense forests, but Zozars with shorter or longer fur might live in hotter or cooler places. The horns on Zozars do tend to slightly illuminate in the darkness and are unbreakable. They also glow a darker shade when they are angry. Zozars use them to protect themselves, since they usually are not aggressive. On the rare occasion that two or more Zozars do get into a fight, they will rely mostly on the horn on their head rather than their teeth or claws. Zozars long and thin built body allows them to run at great speeds and easily catch prey. They usually eat small mammals, fish, and sometimes they will eat berries or fruit.

/ "Zarya, what are you doing? Stop that this instant!" Zarya reluctantly let go of the male Zozar she had been pinning to the ground, turning to her older brother. He stood on the far end of the field, looking at her with a dissapointed look on his face.
/ The other Zozar Zarya had been pinning rolled onto his feet and shook off the dirt from his fur. "Hope we can finish this later Zarya," he whispered to prevent the older male from hearing him. He trotted off in search of another wrestling partner, one that was less occupied with older siblings, to challenge.
/ "I wasn't going to hurt him!" Zarya begrudgedly dragged herself over to her older brother, staring defiantly back into his steely eyes.
/ "That's not the point! The point is that you shouldn't be wrestling at all."
/ "Why not?" Zarya's heart sunk at the thought of giving up her favorite passtime activity.
/ "Because only males wrestle each other. You shouldn't because you could get really hurt." Zarya took a step back from her brother, baring her teeth in a snarl.
/ "Did it look like I was going to get hurt? I can handle myself and you know it!" The steely look in her brothers eyes softened minutely.
/ "Of course I know you can handle yourself. I'm just worried about you; it comes with the job of being an older brother."
/ "Well I don't need you to be worried about me," Zarya shuffled her paws against the grass, "when I wrestle it's the only time I feel like I fit in with the guys."
/ "Why do you want to fit in with the guys?"
/ "Because I don't fit in with the girls. I don't have the same interests as them. If I don't fit in with the girls and I don't fit in with the guys, then who am I?"
Her brother smiled softly, "you're Zarya, and that's all that matters," he stepped forward and gave her a hug, "if you want to wrestle, then I won't stop you. I just want you to be happy."
/ "Thank you so much. I love you; you know that right?"
/ "Of course I do. Now go catch up with your buddy and show him what for! Looked like you were winning before I interrupted you two."
/ Zarya gave one last smile to her brother before turning around to catch up with the male Zozar she had been wrestling. Her brother just stood there and watched her run off with pride in his eyes.


Sorry if that wasn't the best! I've never been exceptional at writing entries, but I hope you liked it anyway! I also never used a name for her brother because I currently have no Zozars to fill that occupation. Perhaps I'll come back and put in a name for him if I win a male Zozar before this adoption ends.

Introductions

Hello - I am hyperthymesia.
I actually found this word after a friend of mine changed his user to an exotic name beginning with 'K', though I no longer remember what it was. Anyhow - I was torn between hyperthymesia, and chromosynthesia, but I settled for this one.
As for me - I am an agender teen living in the UK. I like reading, drawing, and I have to admit that I have fallen for this beauty.

Zozar Name and why?

Gylenne 'Gil' Voshkie Apis-Nudar

The first time I looked at this Zozar, I thought of honey. Hence his name is made up of a lot of names that I associated with honey - gold colours, I suppose. (Although Gylenne's favourite colour is not gold at all - it's blue, the colour of this text.)
This (rather long) name is constructed of several different origins and meanings. Gylenne is Swedish for golden, Voshkie is golden in Armenian, and Apis is an Egyptian name meaning; it's thought to be a mythical dead bull thought to be Osiris. Nudar means gold in Arabic, and I couldn't help but add it in. Maybe I went overboard - but, this is my decision, and I will stick by it.
I really liked the name Gylenne - I do understand I have essentially named him 'Golden, Golden, Mythical dead bull-gold', but truthfully, it's grown on me, and I now feel as if you could make a rhyme of sorts out of it* - anyway, so I really liked Gylenne, and I figured that his nickname could be 'Gil'. Voshkie was another lovely name that I could not discard, and should Gylenne feel the need to ever switch his names around, they will mean the same thing apart from Apis. The latter I discovered by accident, but I really likened to the name, and it stuck; same for 'Nudar' - I just felt that it fitted this Zozar quite well.
Needless to say I had a horribly hard time choosing this one's name!

Gender of Zozar and why?

Demiboy [he/they]

This Zozar is a demiboy - in reality, he feels largely male, and a little something else, but due to not knowing how to coin this term, he settled for being a demiguy, and he is perfectly happy with that.

Favourite thing to do and why?

Gylenne is a rather reserved, introverted character. In fact, many think that he is mute, purely on the basis that he doesn't talk often - if at all. (Few people have heard his melodious voice, and when they do, it's like music to their ears - harmonious and velvety, like the texture of honey. Of course, Gylenne stops singing or humming as soon as he is aware that he is noticed.)
So, due to these traits of his, it would only make sense that he enjoyed curling up and reading a book, or watching the sunrise as the breeze flutters through his fur, or collecting honey from friendly bees to which he always hums in response to as an answer to their low buzzing.
Quite the opposite!

Though reading and watching sunrises and sunsets and shooting stars and collecting honey are certainly in his list of hobbies, they are not his favourite thing to do.
Gylenne is actually quite the loving flower-tender - gardener, if you will, though he prefers the former term. He has a passionate love for flowes and succulents, and as a youngster he was forever collecting plants and seeds to plant them in his ever-growing backdoor garden that leads straight to the forest, which in turn leads to the sea, so Gil always awakens to the salty smell of ocean waves crashing against rocks and sand.

Gylenne didn't always like flowers and gardening. Before he discovered his passion, he didn't give them a care in the world. Even when he was young he didn't speak much - however, once, he happened upon a small cottage buried deep in the dark corner of the forest. Curiosity tugging him, he went to explore, and discovered an anciently old cat looking after her flowers and plants. Gil had scrunched his nose up and let out a small pant of fustration, and after the cat noticed him, she decided to change his obvious annoyance with flowers and greenery - hence she took him under her 'wing' to teach him the way of life through flowers and plants and succulents, to the seeds that trees spurted when blooming season came around. He later found out that her name was Syllivan, and she was exactly 406 years old, having maintained her figure by using multiple herbs and potions that she concocted from shrubs growing in her garden. Gylenne never bothered to learn these potions, but found he didn't need to - he had become quite taken with the flowers and their growth rates, so he came back every other day to help Syllivan. He fell in love with their scents, their colours, their differences. He became quite taken with the bright yellow and cornflower blue flowers, and Syllivan and he used to make thousands of flower wreaths to hang around the place as decorations or for others to find. They were perfectly happy in their own little world.

Gylenne still wasn't sure of his hobby, but when his dear friend died, leaving only flowers and seeds and a garden filled with vegetables in her wake, he realised how much these flowers had taught him, and took it upon himself to look after the garden for as long as his life permitted.
And so, a beautiful, raw passion was born.
