Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?

Yo! Im Shady, a new artist for SCS. Ill be doing designs based off of real life animals that I come across every day at my job in the humane society shelter. Hope you enjoy them!

" This cute little kitty was actually found on the shelter property, digging around in our trash bins. They seem to have had some sort of ear infection of hematoma in the past, or perhaps some form of muscle deterioration in their face, or even frostbite at some point, as their ears are crimpled and drooping. It dosnt seem to affect them any other than their appearance as they are perfectly healthy, so we think it just adds to the cuteness! "

Personality: Jynx is a very proud cat, always parading around the house with his head high. This attitude often causes his owners to laugh however, since his is mortal enemy is the garbage disposal. He loves to be given attention and his favorite thing in the whole world is to be scratched right above his tail. He has a habit of sleeping directly on your pillow (And if you move him he will sleep on your face instead.) Unfortunately for his owners, Jynx's favorite toy is their car keys. He will steal them and play with them for hours (he's very energetic) and will not let his owners take them back from him. He also enjoys napping on whatever book, newspaper or project his owner is working on. Jynx is quite the character and is always the center of attention. It's these small quirks that make him the unique cat he is and his owners love him even more because of them. He is glad to have owners who love him as much as they do.
