Lets Get That Party Started//Neko
(Meaning Cat in Japanese)
Stallion

The halter being a bright, but not too bright almost lime green with purple outlined in some areas and there being a bright
purple paw print on the main strap, and the nose strap being white outlined in purple and having purple tiger strips on it
I have learned over the weeks that Neko is quite the tolter. If we could, he would let us dye his hair for every color of the week. He is very rambunctious and finds it really, and I mean really fun to sneak up on other people/tolters at SHS and scare them. The one that see has the most fun scaring is Gator. He loves going up right to him and screaming almost in his ear BOO! Then he laughs his head off because Gator practically leaps 10 feet into the air. Then it starts, that is after Gator gets his heart back in control after what he says almost gives him a heart attack. Gator will go charging after Niko and they will go flying through the fields until Gator catches him. Niko also has such a funny laugh, that whenever you hear it, you will start to laugh as well. Niko also loves going on nightly adventures, as soon as it’s dark, he will go through the barn and fields acting like a little ninja spy, trying not to get caught. Niko is very clever, but he always jumps head first into things, which can be a big problem for him. He has a very big mouth, he just loves to talk and when Niko isn't talking that usually means that something’s up, and what’s up ain't noth'n good. Nikos mood is always shown in his body language. If he's prancing around with swag and acting all cocky with that sly smile, you know that he did something that no one knows about, and when you don't know what Niko did, you are in big trouble. But Niko always seems to have such a fun time and he is always in a good mood. And Niko sure does have that swagger, he loves prancing around thinking he's all that and he's even shown the foals how to do it perfectly! He is always trying to act cool and say jokes that after word you will be laughing two days from if he even mentions a word from it. One of his best Joke buddies is Gator. They love making up jokes and since we have gotten Niko, Gator has acaully been spending more time with this small little stallion and acaully letting him join his "Little" group of trouble makers which all consists of mares and I think Gator's also finally happy to have a stallion like himself around to cause some mayhem. "Because lets just face it, girls are girls and sometimes you just gotta have a bro in your life" is what Niko says, but he still loves them too. Plus, another reason why Niko loves having fun with Gator is(This is how he puts it) "Sometimes, other Tolters just can't handle my swag" and he aways says that with a big goofy grin on his face and a glitter in his eyes. Niko is quite the tolter and nothing ever really seams to put him down and I think sometimes Niko thinks he is bullet proof and I hope the day never comes when he finds out he isn't completely bullet proof.

I hear a young voice excitedly call me over. I look over to see Tanner at the front fence of one of our very large pastures. “Hey Tanner! What’s up?” Tanner grins his big goofy grin and says “Look, look! Look at Niko and Gator play!” I look past him into the pasture to see both Gator and Niko romping around making a big mess of one of the hay bales that we had put out earlier that morning. “Those two sure get along, i’m so happy that crazy little stallion has found so many friends here, it would be so sad if he didn’t.” I cross my arms and lean into the fence post next to Tanner, completely entranced with how the two stallions were playing. I jump a little when Tanner asks me his next question. “Hey, what was your first reaction of when Niko came here?” “Oh, you want to know my first reaction of Niko? Hahaha, I still remember your first reaction when you saw him
Tanner! I think for a second when I said there was a tiger out in the pasture, you really thought there was one when you saw him!” I laugh and he rolls his eyes and says sarcastically “No! That wasn’t it! I was just sooo excited that we got another tolter!” I laugh and say “I know you love watching him play with Gator, but do you remember my reaction when I first saw him?” “I don’t know, remember, I was at vacation with my family when you got him!” I nod my head and say “Oh, thats right, you where! Well here’s the story:”
I was doing my daily job of checking up on all the tolters when I saw him. That 12.3hh tall stallion, one of the shortest tolters I have seen was peeking his head out of the trailer that comes every week or so with a tolters that I have adopted and welcomed into the hands of the huge stables so many called home, SHS. All the people said that I had adopted him from, is that he is a beauty that can be quite the hand full. But what I was not expecting was a beautiful, short stallion with markings that resembled a tiger and boy oh boy, those markings did scare me the first time I saw him. Lets play back that day.
-2 weeks before-
“Hey, Glory, how are you doing?” I ask Glory as I come into her stall to bring her out into the field. Glory knickers and nudges my hand softly. “Sorry, I forgot to bring treats this morning!” I say with a big grin on my face as I show her both my hands. She inspects them to make sure I am not hiding anything and looks back up to me. “Okay old girl, you don’t fall for that trick anymore, do you?” I take two carrots out of my back pocket and give them to her. “See, I brought your favorites, Carrots!” While she is munching down on her favorite treat I grab the lead rope and clip it onto her halter. I wait for her to finish before I open the stall door to take her out to the field. I stop as I hear loud snoring. “Now I wonder who that is, is it the one and only August?” I look down the stall row and see sure enough, August still fast asleep snoring away. I laugh and continue my way to the field. As I let Glory into the field and I am unclipping her lead rope I hear in the distance a truck and a trailer. I look down our long driveway to see just that, a truck with a trailer. “Hey, that must be the new tolter that I adopted, Glory!” I rub her back and shut the gate. “Well, it looks like they made it just in time!” I look over to see Glory staring curiously at the trailer. I smile at her and say “You get to be the first tolter to see the new stallion, I head that he can be quite the boy.” I smile, rubbing Glory’s back as I wait for the truck to come to the barn.
-A few minutes later-
“Hey! I call out to Cally as she pulls the truck up. “This is our new arrival, right?” Cally grins and says “Yes” “Okay, well. I’m going to go on back to see this little guy”. Cally just grins the biggest grin I have even seen and just nods her head, I wonder what she thinks is so funny? I stop in my tracks as I see a flash of stripes.I see it again, a flash of stripes. That looks a lot like a tiger, I think as I move closer and out pops a head from the trailer. “Ah!” I yell as for a second it seems like I see a tigers head poking out of the trailer. My heart rate slows and I laugh. “Hahaha, look at you little guy! You scared me half to death when I saw your face, I thought you were a tiger!” I walk over to the trailer and pet his head. “I have the perfect name for you, little guy! Niko should be your name because you look like a tiger and Niko means cat!” I hear in front Cally laugh, “now I bet that was what she was laughing at, waiting to hear my reaction when I saw you little mister” I say to Niko. After I unload him from the trailer and take a look at him to see how healthy he was I walked over to Cally. “Really, Cal? Why did you tell me about what he looked like, he almost gave me a heart attack! But hey, if you knew that I was going to probably react like that, then how did you react?” I say with a big grin on my face. Cally laughs and says “Well, first I wanted to see your reaction and second, well, we will have to save that story for another time.” She winks at me and I say “Oh, come on Cal! We have enough time!” She shakes her head and says “No, I gotta be somewhere in 20 minutes. See ya!” Cally waves before driving away. “Uh! Well, I’ll get you next time!”

Poor
Niko, I did him no justice >.<
