Finch used to own many records, and a record player. He ended up losing his favorite records, and sold the record player-- leaving him missing the sound of the player, the music he would play. He listens to his favorite songs on a cd now, but the sound just isn't the same. The memories that come with that record player are also a big part of why he misses it so dearly. When it was still around, it'd be what he would use to play music whenever friends came over... or just when he would be alone and relaxed, to himself. (101 words)

Vibe has a deep nostalgia for her early childhood. However, as quite the hip young kalon, she has no problem leaving the past behind for better, newer things. Luckily for her, the new and trendy thing is to revisit old tech. Vibe's full-blown love affair with VCR tapes can now rise to the surface! Her collection of disney classics and hometapes (often times found at garage sales) can be proudly put on display. This doesn't stop her from missing the time in which VCRs were still being released - can you imagine watching Inception or The Avengers on VCR? Vibe is just happy to have a chance to bring back something she missed dearly.

Writing // With longing eyes, she stared at the ash coated skies. Not even a ray of sunlight could break through the dense layer. It had been a little more than three month since the volcanoes erupted and turned their world into one of darkness. Of all the things Ashen could miss, she missed the moon and stars the most. She had never paid them much heed in the past, but now that they were behind a curtain of ash she couldn't help but feel a hollow spot in her heart. The stars had always made Ashen feel closer to the others of the world and now she missed feeling connected to the rest of the world.

She misses her mother, and father, and the pets they had. Sure, she calls them up sometimes, but its not the same. She wishes she could go back to being a child again, playing with her dog and cats, not a care in the world. She misses the scent of her mother's cooking, now poorly replaced with takeout and leftovers. She misses the safety of her father always being there to catch her and teach her of all the things he knew. She misses childhood.

The one thing she misses since leaving her childhood home was her old piano. The melodic sounds, the rich tone, and how her hands bounced from one note to the next, she misses every single bit about it. In her new apartment, there isn’t any room for it thus she had to leave it behind but she’s determined to never lose her skill. Her new instruments are the counter, a hot cup of coffee, and her imagination but they can never replace the feel of the ivory keys nor the smooth melody that sprung out of her hands.

Writing // There is nothing Votex misses more than his sense of smell. When he was an adolescent, he was afflicted with a disease that took his sense of smell in the battle. Since that day, he has been unable to smell the coffee, metaphorically blind to the scent of flower, oblivious to every wonderful scent that had painted his world. He often spends his time remembering the time when he could enjoy the smells of the world, both good and bad. Every minute of the day, he feels like he's missing something. He has a habit of asked those close to him how something smells, even if he can't appreciate the smells himself.

Writing // Finch's hometown is a very small town in Australia with not many people, but lots of birds. She would run outside and watch all the birds in the trees flutter around and make the sky a rainbow. Finch would feed them everyday so the birds knew she was a trustable person. She got to know some of them very well and would train them to fly to her when she called for them. Finch never considered them pets but more of a companion. Her job caused her to move away and she misses her hometown and all the birds that live there, but she tries to visit as often as possible.
