dreamer - romantic - clumsy – philosophical - unhurried

On the outside, Talisa’s the dreamer who almost always has her head in the clouds. That’s not to say she’s not aware of herself, oh, no- if anything, she’s almost too aware. Her mind can turn the smallest leaf into a fairy cottage, the smallest crack into a gaping ravine, the slightest smile into true love. She’s exactly the type of girl to ponder philosophical and deep life questions, like ‘Why do flies exist?’

Tali tends to be absentminded and easily distractible, forgetting ‘trivial’ things- which, to her, is most things in life- which often lands her in worlds of troubles. Like the time she tried to eat raw pasta and almost choked to death- hey, how was she supposed to know it didn’t come cooked?

Although she is aware of her surroundings, she can also be pretty clumsy. Sometimes she’ll get so fixated on one idea that she’ll completely ignore everything around her, whether it’s the stuff she’s holding or the pole right in front of her or even the busy road she’d been about to cross. Usually- and luckily- she can be startled out of this daze before anything too bad happens.

When she talks, she talks cryptically; she adores riddles and philosophical statements. She likes to look at the bigger picture before all the smaller ones- like trying to guess a puzzle picture from a few tiny pieces. She’s unable to focus on current situations, and thinks in the long run, which annoys most people she meets-but she can’t help being completely devoid of any sense of urgency.

Talisa’s not religious in any sense, but she absolutely loves the idea of omens and signs and just fate in general- like the idea of lucky four-leaved-clovers or the wish you can make upon one thousand paper cranes. She finds it fascinating what different cultures interpret- she thinks it’s their way of being dreamers and romantics- and would love to travel the world to discover all these things.

If she remembers, that is.

Optional Extra (entirely based around her hobbies/interests): Audrey specializes in the art of calligraphy. While it may not seem like a very practical career or even a hobby, she certainly loves doing it, and believe it or not, she actually often gets hired for her skills, which seems surprising since pretty much everything is done nowadays with the help of technology. However, Audrey does get hired to write wedding cards, diplomas, certificates, plaques, and even some graphic design companies have been interested in her work. By no means is she extremely popular, but she gets around enough to make a living for herself. Aside from putting her skills to use career-wise, she actually created her own journal made entirely out of recycled material. (because she's really big on saving the planet). She writes in her journal in- you guessed it- calligraphy. But what does she write about?
xxx Well, Audrey dreams of becoming an author. She doesn't care about the fame or money, she just wants to write a book, and maybe even publish it. So, she uses her journal to jot down story and character ideas. Whenever a thought pops into her mind, she'll pull out her journal and jot down bullet points. She would really like to fill the whole journal up with ideas, so that in the future, she can refer back to them. When writing, however, Audrey doesn't use some fancy fountain pen for her calligraphy, no, she has gone completely old fashioned and instead sticks to feathers and ink, and she doesn't plan on changing this.
xxx As you could probably already tell, Audrey is a very ambitious kalon. She doesn't just dream her dreams, she goes after them. Take writing, for example. Many writers can only dream of publishing a book. Audrey works towards it everyday, and even when she feels like she's losing hope, she pushes herself to move forward, instead of letting herself get pulled back. Even with her current calligraphy skills, she still practices every single day, because there's no such thing as not getting better.
xxx Now, Audrey hasn't always been into calligraphy. In fact, as a young kalon, Audrey dreamed of becoming an artist, so she worked. She worked really hard to get better at art, although she never got as advanced as she wanted to, even after several years. She kept on asking herself why, until she soon realized that she didn't want to do this. She often found herself becoming excessively bored, sitting there and shading the exact same thing, only to have the final result turn out mediocre at best. Even if it did turn out really good, she still didn't feel satisfied with herself. She had always loved creative writing as a child, however she never viewed it as her "hobby" until she entered her teen years.
xxx Now, Audrey is still working towards publishing that book and working on her calligraphy skills all the while. And honestly? She couldn't imagine doing anything else.
