────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────the story:
Calver woke up groggily it was around four in the morning, sighing
softly he got up slowly hoping not to hurt his back. Looking over to the bird cage
he whistled waiting for a response, when he heard the sweet tune Clancy whist-
led he smiled opening the cage swiftly. As the door swung back the cardinal flew
into the air doing a flip as she flew, she landed on Calver's small little stubby tail.
Calver smiled and walked to the front of the house bouncing slightly as he whist-
led with Clancy. Packing some water, food and an ax with him as he walked out
of the threshold. Looking around and inhaling the clean cold pristine air, he then
spoke aloud "It's a much better smell then all of the gasoline polluting the city huh
?" The bird chirped sweetly at him as if answering the question. Smiling as Clancy
he started off towards the woods ax in mouth as he walked. In the snowy white wo-
ods he heard all types of birds chirp, with Clancy chirping back he closed his eyes
for a second taking in all the bird calls with a smile, he was in complete heaven, he
opened eyes again and continued to walk with a slow walk he set down his ax and
opened his bag, looking throughthe large bag pulling out some water and crackers,
picking through the crackers tossing them to Clancy every which way. Unscrewing
the water he brought the water to his lips taking each gush of water slowly. He set
down the riveting cold water. Looking up at the long erupting sky admiring the blast
of colors of the sunrise that painted the harsh and cold morning sky. While looking
at the morning and smiled softly and then Calver carefully stood up gathering his
belongings and whistled for Clancy he started off deeper into the woods ax in mo-
uth, Looking up at the tree tops, looking around he heard a small rustle in one of
the oncoming trees, instantly becoming alert. Pricking his ears he set down the ax
and sticks his snout straight in the air and sniffed several times trying to pinpoint ex-
actly what the sounds were and who they were from. When he finally realized what
the noise came from Calver visibly relaxed a said "You'll have to do better than that
if you want to scare me." He laughed and looked at the familiar face, Soleil always
tried to scare him whenever she visited the forest Soleil scoffed at Calver and said
"Don't lie! I saw how scared you got. I came pretty close to spooking you old man."
Clancy visibly cringed and exasperatedly said "Fine fine you scared me! But don't go
around spewing out that you scared me. I'd like to keep my honor thank you Soleil."
She sighed and commented "Fine fine i'll tell no one." But then jumped down from
the tree landing right in front of Calver. Caver jumped back with a huff and grum-
bled out "You almost jumped on me Soleil..." Glaring slightly at the young kit before
saying "You would have regretted that if you jumped on me." Soleil giggled and bo-
pped Calve on the nose with their paw wiggling her haunches and jumping onto his
back making Calver make a "Oof!" sound and quickly jumped off him and gave him
a small laugh as she jumped away from him lunging playfully at her with his big clum-
sy paws. Soleil squealed and ran off towards his his small cabin, every few months
she was allowed to go and see him when her parents were busy with work or perha-
ps visiting a few friends or two. Soleil looked back at Calver and squealed "You'll
have to catch me!" He then picked up his axe and pack and ran after her full speed,
Clancy soared above them whistling all the while. When they got to his house they we-
re both out of breath, after all it was a good distance from where they were originally.
Soleil finally gasped out in breaths "I win! Beat that Calver!" Calver huffed with annoy-
ance before sputtering out 'Hey i still need to be steady on my feet young un'!" At that
she laughed and flicked him in the nose with her small stubby tail. He sneezed loudly
and pierced her with his knowing eyes and opened the door to his house whistling for
Clancy to follow him. As they went inside he headed towards the kitchen taking out the
needed ingredients for some home brewed tea, mixing it all up within a few minutes he
padded back to her with some tea balancing in his mouth and one on his back. At that she
started to giggle and took the tea graciously, the both looked out at the sunset with a smile,
it was a perfect morning for tea.

the personality:
Calver is a very talkative individual he loves to tell wanderers about his journ-
eys and adventures. He rambles on and on for hours until the person awkwardly
tells him they have to go,he never takes it to heart and bids them good luck on
their travels, while some may say he is a creepy old man just wandering and li-
ing in the woods, Calver says "Haha very funny but i am a respectable man!"
of course he is a sensible elder but no one really takes him seriously as mostly
everyone sees him as a lonely man, Calvar is also very lonely, but that's nor-
mal right? Living all by yourself in the middle of snowy woods, it happens to e-
veryone when you spend time alone for quite a few years but he doesn't comp-
lain. While being lonely he is very adventurous for his age, often early in the
morning strolls to explore the woods. When exploring he is sure to bring grah-
am crackers and plenty of water. When exploring he brings his pet cardinal,
Two years ago he saved a Cardinal and ever since the bird never left his side,
since then he named the sweet bird Clancy in honor of his who passed away
when he was a small boy. Clancy often sits on his stubby tail and chirps happ-
ily as he throws crumbs of graham cracker over his shoulder as he scales the
large forest. Calver is a very wise old man, he often gives young travelers a-
dvice for their travels and what to do and what not to do, Calver can get
very homesick and often sits on the roof of his small cabin and looks at the
stars till he goes to sleep. Calver is very tired most of the night looking at the
stars, so he is always yawning or looking tired. Finally Calver is very cunning.
While you may ask "Him Cunning?" and that is a complete surprise for anyone
but he can sneak around if his life depended on it. Some people call him fox of
the forest and mountains but then again who calls him that anymore? He shifts
his eyes and focuses on the task which is given to him gladly.
