I know lots of people in Orlando. My mom's friend was a victim of the attack. She's okay, but I know there's lots of people who weren't as lucky. So here's my little tribute to those we lost.

Dovey is incredible sweet and kind. She always has something good to say about everyone. She's full of energy and just loves life. She takes joy in the simple things and loves spending time with friends and family. She also loves trying new things and travelling. She's an active member of her local LGBTQ+ community and actually started the GSA at her high school. She goes to protests and rallies. She also talks before legislatures about bills that affect the LGBTQ+ community, both positively and negatively. In her spare time she volunteers at the animal shelter. Her specialty are cats and she fosters up to three at a time. She likes electronic and pop music. She loves to dance, and loves going out on the town with her friends. Her friends think she's a little bit of a sap. It's not uncommon for her to say "I love you, you know that right? I don't tell you that enough" But they wouldn't have her any other way.

[The 49 people killed in the shooting were all wonderful people who weren't out to hurt others. They were just there to have fun and spend time with their loved ones. I tried to base Dovey on their stories.]
