Dex is a calm, but happy Vaiki who is very fond of chatting and joking. Despite his little size, Dex is surprisingly bold and is capable of keeping himself together during critical situations and/or sudden occasions. Dex, however, is not a very hard-working Vaiki - and so, others usually mistake his lack of fear for an excessive amount of laziness and lack of will to react. This is quite far from the truth (though Dex admittingly does not like work of any form), however, as others are finding Dex to (often) be the only one capable of taking matters into his own hands when everyone else loses themselves in panic. Other than being quite good at keeping control over himself, Dex is also a very sociable fellow who absolutely loves joking. Whether someone makes an outrageous pun or makes stupid faces, Dex loves being silly with others. Admittingly not the "punster", though, he still enjoys bringing light to conversations by making far-from-serious jokes. With his love for joking, Dex is naturally very chatty. While he isn't the kind of individual to keep someone listening for hours to him go on and on about random things, he is the kind of Vaiki to strike up a conversation first and keep it going for as long as it should go. Despite the fact that Dex is a happy Vaiki, oddly, he is often found involuntarily frowning when his focus isn't on other individuals. However, just a greeting to catch the Vaiki's attention never fails to light his face up with enthusiasm once more!

The younger days;;
During Dex's childhood days, he was surprisingly timid, and almost always had anxiety when approaching any one other than family. Despite being fearful of socializing, Dex did have a vivid and wonderful childhood, nonetheless. Dex grew up by a meadow full of wildlife - and so, had been given a love for nature at an early age. In addition to having a kind spirited family that brought him up with kindness (but quite some discipline!), he has had some of the fondest memories as a child. Most memorably, Dex never forgot the chilly days of winter he had so much fun in. Having a pelt with blues and whites for colors, he had always enjoyed watching his family members tirelessly search for him while he'd blend into his surroundings simply by standing still. Additionally, the Vaiki would quite enjoy making "snow angels" by flailing around in the snow - of which would stick to his fur as if it were meant to belong there. Most importantly during his childhood, however, was what happened on his 6th birthday. After Dex had turned 6 years old, his father brought home a group of the young Vaiki's classmates to help celebrate. It was after this day, that Dex learned that socializing with others was probably not as bad as he'd originally thought. After his 6th birthday, Dex gradually opened up more and more to the world as he'd meet with the same classmates and exchange laughs, kindness, rants, and friendship.

Later;;
Unfortunately, things weren't meant to stay the same, and while the friends have gone through much of school together, it was time to split up with each Vaiki having picked a different college. During Dex's college student days, he had not spent much time socializing as he would have liked to, but he graduated with a considerable amount of respect from his college's professors. After having successfully graduated, Dex managed to snag the temporary job of an ice sculptor during winter (despite his height), and eventually found himself learning to thoroughly program and code applications on the computer during times of which ice sculptures cannot be made. It is still not to be mistaken though, that while Dex enjoys seeing the finished result of his own works, he still doesn't give these jobs his "all", and takes little or no joy in doing the work. He is still, though, a successful lil' Vaiki! In his own unique way.

He is an odd little fellow who does not speak too much, but is always investigating and inventing. He tends to collect anything electrical and makes random electrical devices for himself, and wishes to grow up to be a famous inventor. Besides this, he is an avid listener, and dislikes answering direct questions.
History
Nobody knows his real history, but he was discovered in a quagmire, hence why he might have chosen his name. Cassidy and his sister, Evelyn, had been out exploring the boggy region when they discovered him exploring there too, but he would not tell them from whence he came, and yet admitted to having nowhere to go.

Thus, he now lives with them, and continues his curious research on anything electrical. Despite being young he takes care of himself fairly well, and so the brother and sister usually just let him live at there home to have shelter and let him do what he will. They have speculated, probably rightly, that he is some sort of runaway, but they have decided not to trouble him too much unless he admits to this fact himself. He has written letters to a mysterious source before, although he gets no known replies as far as the two vaikis he befriended know.
Relationships
With Cassidy
Quigley likes Cassidy. The elder vaiki generally just leaves him alone, and will occasionally read to him, so that all works with Quigley and he enjoys the fact Cassidy does not ask far too many questions. The only thing that really annoys him is Cassidy's occasional 'concerned parent' look. That can be a bit of an aggravation when your in perfect control of your own self and do not want other's helping you too much unless absolutely necessary.
With Evelyn
He also likes Evelyn, although she does try and ask him too many questions, so he is more likely to snap at her. Evelyn often accompanies Quigley on trips to electronic stores or just around the beach side city in general, and she loves to buy him cakes and sweets. Sometimes he feels this is bribery to get him to tell her his life story, but he loves the treats anyways ad senses Evelyn genuinely cares.
With Scarborough
Scarborough is the third sibling of the Fairson family, which consists of him, Evelyn and Cassidy. Thus, Scarborough will stop by the beach town for visits. Quigley likes him, because Scarborough usually keeps to his study or out walking during his visits, and also is a great reciter of literature, and loves to show off his expert reading skills. Occasionally, while Quigley is working on one of his electrical projects, Scarborough will read out loud to the whole group, and Quigley likes to have a story being told while he experiments, as he finds he works faster and with less frustration.
With Henry
Henry is related to the Fairsons, as he and his brother Harold are their cousins. Henry also visits every so often, and often brings with him his wife, Clara, and his son, Henry Junior. Quigley does not mind him that much, and sometimes if bothered by this family's constant visits to each other. Still, Henry is usually very mild tempered, although he, too, is evidently interested to know how Quigley came about living with his cousins.
With Harold
Harold always tries his best to be friendly and chat with Quigley when they meet, and while Quigley knows he means well he finds himself very quickly annoyed by the chatter of Harold. Harold however takes interest in his inventions, and Quigley does not mind, in spite of himself, showing them off and attempting to explain them.
With Clara
As is typical with this little family, Clara is very sweet. Yet, Quigley finds her motherlyness and her wanting to hug him whenever they meet and ask him all sorts of questions on how he's been and if he's eating enough and so and so forth, to be, in short, aggravating. It makes him feel like a little kid and for someone who behaves like a small adult, this is all very annoying. Yet, something inside him deep down also loves her for it. Perhaps he really does miss being babied by his parents.
With Henry Junior
Henry's, to put it simply... rambunctious. A small fluff ball filled with energy and daring, as well as a kiddy love for sweets, bedtime stories and chasing butterflies around, Quigley cannot quite keep up with him and his childish antics when they meet. Henry finds Quigley's serious, mini-adult ways hilarious and loves to make fun of him, although it's all in fun and only results in Quigley feeling very... flabbergasted. The hyperactivity and the, at times, sudden exhaustion of Henry leaves Quigley flustered to no end, as well as Henry's very quick way of talking and asking questions. However, he does consider him a friend. If an odd and not well matched one.
With Popsicle
Henry's milder friend, Popsicle occasionally accompanies Henry Junior's family on visits. Popsicle is much more similar to Quigley as far as being quiet and curious goes, but Popsicle is still very much accepting of the fact he is a little kid, and not so obsessed with growing up and being independent as Quigley is. Popsicle is very patient most of the time, which in some ways, makes him even less of a child than even Quigley is. Quigley finds this a tiny bit annoying, but also admires him for it. Popsicle also likes Quigley's gadgets and gizmos, and does not mind to listen to Quigley's occasional show offish outbursts of trying to explain them.

Blu Seal is a rather down-to-earth Vaiki with very little issue in relaxing or calming others. They hope to solve the most tension in issues with very little trouble. And they're very good at it. Often asked to help feuds between friends and family they are considered a master of relaxation. However when they get stressed, which is very rare, they're the complete opposite and panic rather quickly despite knowing what they do about relaxation.
