Bird: The Great Horned Owl
Why? Elieza has always loved owls, sumply as a whole. Her favorite bedtime stories were the ones involving owls going 'who who' in the night and as a child, she'd stay up late into the night to listen for owls outside her window. She had an innocent liking for them and she found them quite adorable. Now that she has reached adulthood, however, her interests have slightly shifted. Needless to say she still loves birds and owls, but she ended up pursuing science. Elieza works with a large-scale group of scientists and her local zoo to study the behavioral patterns of nocturnal animals such as owls and bats. Working in the zoo, she gets to see the animals on display; including her all time favorite, the great horned owl.

Why?:
Kea actually works at a wildlife rescue and sanctuary and she the head birds specialist and vet. The reason why the ruby throated humming bird so her favorite and is so important to her is because it was the first bird she rescued and nursed back to health as a child. She also had lots of them in her garden at her home growing up, she finds them not only elegant but also delicate and graceful.
She also has several humming bird feeders at home as well as normal bird feeders and has a habit of naming some of the birds that visit her garden.

Archer is simply amazed that these birds are so incredibly blessed with their colours and patterns. She has pictures of them all over her walls and often looks to them for inspiration when she is making clothes. She actually has made an outfit for herself based on the bird simply to try and add more colour to her. She finds herself slightly bland and often wishes that she could be a golden pheasant.
She also one day hopes to own one. She has her whole list of what she needs for them. Considering she lives a little bit outside of a very small town, their noise wouldn't be a problem. A whiteboard in her office is her to-do list until she can own one.

She also loves the large contrast of their colours. They've got dark blues to light yellows, with reds and oranges in between.

European Starling's are their favorite because not only are the adults gorgeous, but even though the birds are considered pests in many areas they are very intelligent,
