This is Dim, my second Kalon! He prefers to be called "King," though (or any variation of "your highness"). He's veryyy loosely based on an opossum.

Basically, he's disgusting. King does not take care of himself very well. He's a big lazybones, and never trims his nails. His fur is overgrown and all ruffly-- the only time he ever cuts it is if it gets matted. His whiskers are all crooked, there's a notch in his left ear, and more often than not you'll find him covered in garbage. The shine on his tail has lost it's luster. He probably smells tbh, and his hair's probably greasy and gross lol. The yellow spots on his fur (not his ears--those are piercings) are growing colonies of fungus. He lives in a trash heap at the edge of a big ol' forest. He can't really be bothered to hunt for himself, so he usually just eats whatever edible things he finds in the dump. His voice is wheezy, and he coughs a lot. He's got a bit more fat on his bones than most other Kalons, and his muzzle is narrower. Eating is an ordeal because of his big fangs and small mouth.

King leads a small band of other Kalons, abandoned or down on their luck, who live with him in the dump. He's sort of taken them in, and most of them hero-worship him as their savior and king, hence the nickname. He owns a large piece of land in the forest, and his followers do not take kindly to anything encroaching on his turf. He's actually a pretty powerful figure in forest politics, though it's completely by accident. One day he took down the Kalon who owned the dump previously, thinking they were just a regular intruder. He inherited the land and the other Kalon's followers through this lucky coincidence.

An easygoing guy at heart, if one let's King know beforehand that they'll be passing through his territory he'll invite them to rest up-- a fantastic host, despite the less-than-ideal conditions of his home. He may be unhygienic, but he's not a jerk. He prefers to go with the flow rather than fight, causing him to be horribly indecisive when forced to make choices.

He's one of Riven's top employers-- King can't really be bothered to go out and do any dirty work, so he has Riven do it all. Riven also serves as an advisor, since King really has no clue how to lead a group of people. Riven is constantly blown away by how unfit King is to be a king-- yet luck seems to have blessed King, as he has yet to suffer any huge misfortune since he moved into the trash heap. King is Riven's closest "friend," if they can be called that.

He and Riven were mates, and they're very close. They have a daughter, Ruben.
