So on to our first horse of the mini-event! This flashy showgirl is based on the planet of Coruscant, one of the most politically important planets in the galaxy, if not the most important.

As humans eventually became the dominant species on the planet urbanisation quickly took hold of the planet. Large cities sprang up all over the planet, which can be seen from space by the sheer number of lights. During the period of time in the prequels the planet played the role of the capital of the Galatic Republic and was the location were the Galactic Senate made many of the important decisions regarding the state of the galaxy, particularly leading up to and during the Clone Wars. It was also the home to one of the many Jedi Temples, however this temple was special as it became the only temple where initiates would be trained before becoming padawans (side note- this was done to make sure that all jedi initiates started out with equal amounts of standardised training). However after the destruction of the Jedi Order and the fall of the Galactic Republic around the end of the Clone Wars the planet fell under the control of the Galactic Empire, the planet soon becoming known as the Imperial Centre. During this time the emperor (Palatine, otherwise known as the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious) ruled from the Jedi Temple, which he soon converted into his new home. However after the Battle of Endor the emperor and his apprentice (Darth Vader) were defeated along with the empire, thus allowing the New Republic to reform, only this time the Galactic Senate was moved away from Coruscant to Chandrila. It is important to note that the lower levels of the city acted as the underworld, hiding many criminals and shady characters who passed through, including notorious bounty hunters like Cad Bane.

This girl's markings are intended to mimic the tone of the city of Coruscant. The features that (probably) immediately catch your attention are her flashy tovero markings and strikingly pale mane and tail. These markings represent the upper layers of the city, home to the senate, the Jedi temple and other more pleasant, cleaner parts of the cities. But if you look past her flashy markings and flowing hair, you soon see the darker colours lying underneath, mimicking the seedy and crime-ridden underworld of the planet. This girl is a real mixed bag!
