Personality: Åke is an extremely hyperactive dog. While he tries to channel his energy for the greater good, he tends to be a little distructive of property. Some try to say that he hasn't outgrown his puppy stage yet, but others think he was simply spoiled too much during his time in Sweden and was not trained properly by whomever owned him. This uncontrollable energy makes it very difficult to train him, and disrupts his ability to listen at times. Åke is a very loyal dog though, and he can channel his energy enough to protect anyone or anything if the need arises. Generally, this hissan is very friendly though, his biggest flaw being he doesn't understand his own strength. His over abundance of energy causes him to jump around people when he finds them, but what he doesn't realize is that he has rather long nails that can cut others. Often he'll be taken in to have them clipped, but if they go for too long it becomes a problem due to his energy again. He has a tendency to nearly knock humans ove by jumping on them, especially his owner and strangers. He tends to be overly friendly to those he sees his owner being friendly with, but he's very protective and will start growling if he sees them do anything that he considers dangerous to his owner.

He was introduced to this song after having seen the musical in Sweden, the place he had been smuggled to. Although he only saw the play once, he recognizes the song whenever he hears it.
How do they act when hearing this song? Åke is an extremely hyperactive dog and it makes it hard for him to focus on training. However, it's been found that when Jag älskar dig from Snövit is playing, he mellows out to the point he's much easier to work with. Whenever it comes to training him now, his owner makes sure to play the song on repeat as it keeps him from bouncing off the walls. When the song isn't playing however, he's still hyperactive. He reacts the same if the tune if hummed as well, making walking him easier as he doesn't pull his owner down the street. At first it was thought that it was simply Yohio's voice that calmed him, but after testing other songs by the Swedish singer it was discovered that it was only that one song that kept him calm enough to work with.

Wry was always a bit odd, even before his ever so gleeful years of globetrotting. Over the past couple years, he's grown into even more of an odd duck. He listens to no command that isn't in French, save for 'stop', to which he recognizes the word in what seems to be five languages; French, Italian, English, German, and Spanish. Not that he always listens- this overgrown pup never seems to act his age. No, it's much more likely for him to cast an acknowledging glance, give a doggy grin, and continue with whatever it was he was doing beforehand. Unless, of course, he's chasing laser pointers, flashlight beams, drifting embers, or anything which glows in the dark. Lightning, and thunder as well, seem to be taken as a personal offense. Hay bales torn asunder, claw marks tearing up the doors, and the screaming. Oh dear Ra, the screaming. A high, shrieking, screech which splits the air faster than a hot knife through half-melted butter at the height of a searing, sunny, summer day, rising as though to argue with and be heard over the storms' thunderous protests. Almost as though a parent steamrolling over their offspring's excuses, the discordant din Wry tends to kick up is not to be ignored by anyone nor anything. Now if only someone would tell that to Mother Nature so that everyone else might finally get some actual peace...

On the upside, Wry has proven to be quite an effective alarm system, pitching a similarly deafening cacophony whenever anyone unfamiliar approaches without a preapproved escort. Depending upon who you ask, it also doesn't help -or, it also doesn't hurt- that Wry has taken to lying half buried beneath the Sahara sands until something catches his attention. After, of course, being moved to a different, drier, estate when his previous owners could no longer stand his storm-screaming behavior and the distress it caused their employees, Maliks, and other Hissan. In any case, he seems much more at home in the burning desert climate, a relief all around, and seems to be settling in quite nicely now that he's no longer needlessly traumatizing his wards every Thursday through Tuesday. At least, he hasn't been kicked just yet, and no one's regretting Wry's return anymore. Before, there were half serious grumbles about how his kidnappers must've let him escape after hearing his shrieking screams and feeling the brunt of one too many temper tantrums. These mutinous mutters haven't followed him to his new, dryer home, but there remains some much more good natured teasing about such a thing occurring.

Plus, now that he's no longer having apoplectic fits every other day, he's found himself a new hobby or two. For one, he's decided that any and all shiny things on the property are to be his with all due haste. Dropped change, lost tools, polished buckles -being worn or not-, the collars of other Hissan, pretty hair pins, gleaming ribbons, handheld mirrors, keys and keychains- all have gone missing at one point or another, only to turn up in his stall or in the ever shifting sands around the stable. Wry has also taken to slinking off with empty bottles, to be gnawed on just as soon as he can so that they become filled with holes and useless to anyone else. At least he only takes the empty bottles, and not those still filled with water. A small mercy, but one the humans are all grateful for nonetheless.

How do they act when hearing this song?

Well, for an hour long ballet, Wry has a fair few reactions depending upon what portion of the song is playing. If one were to play it through, beginning to end, there's a sort of ritualistic chaos they can expect.

First, he freezes in place, head cocked to one side as though listening, making sure it truly is the song he thinks it is. Next, a gleeful yowl as he suddenly rockets off to snatch up one of his half chewed bottles and as many of his shiny things as he can possibly adorn himself in. Once he returns, if the song's been cut off, there will be this most mournful expression on his face as his prior mood visibly wilts and withers, before a horrible, wailing cry begins. If the song is still playing, however, it is with much enthusiasm that Wry plops down. Then, securing the hole-riddled bottle between his forepaws, this absurd pup puts his muzzle to the opening and howls into the bottle. The sound becomes distorted, almost whistling or groaning in its varying notes as he adjusts the angle, changes his tune, and squeezes the bottle. His ears are always pricked towards the music, listening intently as he attempts to match the orchestra. However, at varying points throughout the song, he'll drop his 'instrument' in order to act out -or attempt to, in any case- a portion of the scene. This typically includes much leaping around, twisting, shaking, posturing, slow, measured steps, steps backwards, and sudden drops to the ground where he shall either play dead, struggle to stand, or leap to his feet with a soundless snarl. When the scene ends, he'll eagerly prance back over to his bottle and repeat the cycle.

Once the entire song is over, he'll rock back onto his hindquarters as though to beg, but instead shall dip his head a couple times with breezy chuffs, as though thanking his audience. If there's no applause, or too little for his liking, he'll shoot everyone a dirty glower before huffing off to sulk- later to loudly lament his woes to the night sky above. Otherwise, he'll stride off, nose in the air, tail held high, like the diva he's often accused of being.
