The art doesn't have to be a masterpiece, nor does it have to be drawn by you!! You can just do a pencil drawing of the tail shine's outline if you really want. Those who go above and beyond with the art, though, are more likely to win. Just make sure that the tail shine is fully visible, and its placement on the tail is clear.
