Just a note before I continue thats not an eye edit thats an expression edit :v

Now to win this vaiki all you have to do is tell me why they wear their beads. You can write a story or poem or whatever as long as it fits in 800 words. And I will be checking. No extras but feel free to pretty up~.

Why does this Vaiki wear their beads?:
The smooth, round pebbles swam between her claws as she fished them from the pond before her. Softly she cradled the orbs, eyes darting fiercely about her surroundings. Where had he gone? Her pursuer, a large dragonic beast, had chased her into this cave. She recalled the harsh sensation of jagged rock against her paws as she'd fled.

She'd been chased her entire life; not by this dragon, but by many varying pursuers. Eden had been staved from her village at a young age; cast out by elders who had deemed her a cursed child. She had shunned them, insisting she didn't need their petty acceptance. She fled to travel the world, despite being young and clueless. She strayed from place to place, being chased out or left to find somewhere better. She hadn't exeperienced much success begging and she'd attempted taking up other trades temporarilly, singing or playing simple instruments she could find, borrow or steal; but none of it ever seemed to stabilize long. She found herself constantly on the run, and her legs grew tired with the pursuit of finding a new home; a place she could really belong to, instead of reject.

She hadn't experienced much luck, however; really, it seemed she'd be at it forever. She was sure of this as she ran from this beast, now an adult, still trying to escape her past and find a future that she could be proud of. She'd scrambled through the cave entrance, running deep into the greys of the stone. She saw the crystals protruding through the walls, illuminating the cave with a faint and delicate glow. She felt herself dissappearing into the darkness, into the cave itself. Eden's heart stopped as the wall made itself apparent. The small pool of serene water before her.

She saw little glimmers at the bottom of the pool, small twinkles that allured her closer to the surface. She ducked her claws within to pull them out of the water. Strung together by a thin but sturdy cord, she whisked the beads out and they caught in her eyes like diamonds. She was lost in the moment, eyeing them as if they were the most gorgeous thing she had ever seen. In the cave they seemed to glow like small, personal stars; none shooting but all wishful. She couldn't express it with words in the moment, but they seemed to be all her own, she felt in her chest that these were a sign, a gift, a method of wish granting that the things overhead couldn't quite grant her.

She looked at her pursuer-- gone. She hadn't any idea where he'd gone, but... she held the beads close to her heart. She felt the beating of her chest resonate with the soft glow of the crystalline shards in the walls. She felt safe.

From that day foreward she decided to wear the beads as a good luck symbol. Whenever she wears them she feels more confident than her shy, hidden self can usually express. Eden feels like she can really express herself when she's decorated in her lucky beads. She still travels today with her charm, hoping it'll bring her the luck she'd always dreamed of.
