ᴘᴇʀsoɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ;;Quiet:
Don't worry, Dayindra isn't ignoring you. In fact, he'd love to start up a conversation with you! There's
just one small problem: Dayindra is completely mute. He was born with a condition that meant his
vocal chords are not completely formed, so it is impossible for him to form any sounds that come
close to words. The most sound he'll ever make is when he laughs. It comes out as a low, rumbling
sound, and is actually pretty contagious.
To make things easier on everyone else, Dayindra's body language is very easy to read. Even visitors
to the ranch are able to tell exactly how he is feeling. However, it is still hard to hold a conversation
with him. For this reason, it is best to just ask yes or no questions, and he'll nod or shake his head in
response.Observant:
Dayindra loves to learn; he honestly can't get enough of it. If he thinks you have some skill or story
that's worth his time, he'll follow you like a shadow until you share this with him. He's very patient
while being taught something, and listens so intently that you can be sure that he's taking in every
word of what he's being told. After you finish teaching him, he'll snort a thanks, then wander off to
the other side of the paddock and either muse over what he was just told, or practice whatever skill
was shared with him.Reckless:
Dayindra is willing to try anything once. Unfortunately, this includes things that other horses will
immediately know are extremely dangerous. He tends to jump into things without really putting any
thought into it, which often gets him into a lot of trouble. A few of his memorable experiences include
jumping off of the roof of a tack shed in order to be able to fly (that was Miso's idea), and stealing
the wallets of the visitors that came to Shadow Cove in order to get to the shiny coins inside (that was
Night's idea).
Luckily for everyone, he learns from his mistakes. If he hurts himself or gets into serious trouble because
of something he did, he is very unlikely to do it again. However, if it was fun for him, he will most
likely try it a few more times before coming to a final decision about it.Excitable:
Dayindra gets excited about a lot of very little things. How can you tell when he can't make noise? Well,
Dayindra has this habit of jumping around like a happy yearling every time something good happens. This
is extremely cute to the humans that visit, but some of the horses at the ranch see it as an annoyance. He
doesn't really care though; he's quite happy to be excited about everything that happens.
His excitement is very good for the children he works with. As a therapy horse, his job is to help children
who are victims of abuse come out of their shells and learn to be comfortable about people again. With
his love for playing games, he is very much like a loyal dog, and the children absolutely adore him.┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
