It was moving day. Everest was unsure of what life would be like in his new barn or with a new herd. He enjoyed being with his current herd dearly, and was unsure of what the new handler would be like. The one right now was great, and he loved it when she brushed his mane. Of course, being the big strong stallion that he was, Everest made sure not to let his insecurities show as he said goodbye to his herd mates and was led into the trailer.
The ride was very fun, if Everest said so himself, though it was nerve wracking waiting to find out all about his new home. He wondered if there were any other horses there as he watched the scenery fly past. Sooner than he expected, the trailer rolled to a stop near a very different farm than he had ever seen before. At least, he thought so.
A vaguely familiar human walked up and began conversing with his caretaker. Would this be his new caretaker? Everest didn't know what this human would be like, but he wouldn't have to wait very long to find out. The Trailer door opened and his caretaker lead him out. Nervously, he waited as the new human walked up to him and began stroking his nose.
"This is your new caretaker Sky," explained his old caretaker. "She'll take good care of you Everest." The new human, Sky, took his halter and led him to the pasture, where a lovely mare already stood, grazing the lush green grass of the pasture. She looked up at him curiously, and Everest wondered what she thought of Sky. The place was very nice, though it was different and he would have to get used to it. Everest liked his new home.
