Story: Abigail trotted through the hot sand, they were on the beach located an hour away from the ranch. Danica was mounted on her, bareback, which was Abigail's favorite way to go. They went over to the splashing waves, another of Abigail's favorite things. Unexpectedly, Abigail almost leaped into the water, Danica had fallen off into the water. Abigail, realizing there was no weight on her back, frantically looked around for Danica. Danica popped out of the water, giggling. Abigail was reasured and went over to her soaking wet rider. "You silly mare" Danica laughed. Abigail loved it when Danica laughed, it always brought happiness to her, and she liked it when Danica was happy.
After their little 'laugh attack', Danica and Abigail played a little game of tag in the water, splashing each other, and having a lot of fun.
They were soon tired, and went back to shore, where Danica lay down a blanket for herself to lie on. Danica lied down on the blanket and Abigail lay down beside her on the sand. Danica was chatting away to Abigail, who had her head down, eyes closed, and ears perked to listen to Danica.
Abigail awoke, and found that the summer sun had been beating down on her Cremello coat while she napped, and Danica was looking a bit tan herself. The mare stood up, and looked around, the waters were a little more calm, and the sun was hanging at the edge of the sky. She looked down at her sleeping rider, and nudged her, as if to say; 'Wake up' Danica opened her eyes and stared at Abigail, "Morning" she said jokingly, before getting up and patting her mare's neck. Abigail nickered to her, and layed down again, for Danica to mount. When she did, Abigail stood up and they watched the never ending horizon darken. Abigail walked up a small hill to where the trailer and truck were parked, and let Danica dismount, then got into the trailer.
They arrived at the ranch, tired and hot. Danica got Abigail out of the trailer, went to the stables, and hosed the mare down. After they were cooled off, Danica led Abigail into her stall and headed to bed.
In the morning, Danica went to Abigail's stall to discover she wasn't there. "Abigail! Abby! Where are you?" she would call, in hopes her gypsy would come back. Meanwhile, Abigail was in the forest nearby, grazing, waiting for Danica to find her so they could play. When Danica had finally found her in the forest, her happiness was restored, she ran to Abigail, and hugged her tightly. "I'm so glad you're ok" she buried her face into Abby's mane, who hugged her back. When they were done hugging, Abigail tapped Danica's shoulder with her muzzle, as if to say, 'tag, you're it!' and cantered away. Danica immediately go the idea as it was Abigail's favorite game. So Danica ran after her, laughing most of the time. They tagged each other back and forth, continuing the game until around noon, when they were tired, and decided to go for a ride.
They walked deep into the forest, suddenly curious about their surroundings. They found a cave, that looked like a huge mouth yawning. They entered, deep into the cave and found sparkly rocks. They were inside a clearing inside the cave, the only light coming from a hole in the roof, the light reflecting off the stones. They trotted all around, amazed by their gleaming light.
After much thought, they thought it best that they didn't bring any home, and to keep the cave a secret, as not to cause any trouble. So they trotted back to the ranch, discussing their amazing find.
