Story;
The rescuer's P.O.V
I heard the growling before we saw the pup, half sheltered under a torn up sofa. The house was abandoned, and by the looks of it, had been so for a few weeks, maybe a month at the most. There were no bowls of food or water in sight, nor were there any signs that neighbours had come to feed the dog. He looked have starved, and as I looked, I saw that pieces of fur were missing from his pelt, and red scabby skin was showing. He was thin, and with each growl and bark, the pale pink of his gums showed. When we approached he bared his teeth, ears against the back of his head and tail between his legs. He seemed afraid and from the looks of his wide eyes, he was in shock. That would explain the pale gums, which was a relief to me for if it was just shock, there wouldn't too much to worry about, although his loss of fur and aggressiveness would be problem enough. He snarled again, and pulled himself so he looked bigger, but it just made me more worried. If he was like this, he might not be trainable. But he was scared now, he'd get used to humans again, I was sure of it. I looked around once more for signs of food or water before heading out of the house after my fellow workers. They were getting into the van, most likely to wait for me before we left. I knocked on the driver's side window and Luke rolled down the window. 'I'm going to try something, I'll be back in a few minutes. Wait here and.. um.. yeah, just wait here' I said and without waiting for a response, I walked to the back of the van, opening the boot and grabbing two silver bowls. I filled one with the dry dog food from the bag we had in the back. I then took my water bottle from my bag and poured some into the other. I added a few drops of the sleeping drug we used when trying to catch scared animals. I knew it would work, but if the dog would drink from the bowl, that was a problem. I entered the house again and placed the bowls down near the dog. He hadn't seemed to notice me, but in the few seconds before he did, I saw the metal chain around his neck, digging into him.
I pushed the bowls gently towards him and left, without checking to see if he'd eaten or drunk. He most likely wouldn't until I'd left anyway. I headed back to the van to wait...
A half an hour later, we entered the house again, and walked towards the dog. He was asleep, and by the looks of the two bowls, it was because of the drug. Picking him up, we placed him inside a cage and took him back out to the van. We took the shorter route home, to avoid traffic, and when we arrived, I took him straight to the center's vet. Luca, the vet, checked him over and told me that if we had been any later, he would've been dead. She began to wash him over, removing the dirt and dried blood that had attached itself to his skin and fur before she took him back to the cage. I took him to the larger cages that he would be staying in and took him out of the cage, placing him into the bed at the back wall. He would wake up soon, and then his healing would begin.
I walked towards the pups cage, my shoes clicking against the floor. I held a harness in one hand, and in the other I held the pole and collar that I would have to use to get the pup outside. I approached the glass door, and the pup looked up, teeth bared and growling. I sighed and crouched down beside the glass, watching him as he stared back at me. I watched as he left the barrier and walked to the bed we had placed inside for him. he curled up with his back to me, and I opened my eyes wide. he couldn't sleep just yet. I opened the door after a few moments and walked inside. he looked up at me, and stared at the pole. I quickly put it over his neck and to my surprise, he came easily enough out of the cage and through the center. i took him outside the back area, where we trained dogs who were recovering. I took off the pole and band and he began walking towards the fence. It was too high for him to jump, and too low for him to squeeze under. He looked back at me as I watched, but he kept walking. He narrowed his eyes at me as I smiled and just as he turned back around, I realized he was going to walk into the fence. he fell backwards and I couldn't help but laugh. He growled at first, but he soon looked over at me, and I covered my mouth with my hand to stop the laughter. He rolled onto his back, and I laughed once more. It seemed to make him happy. I decided to try now. I lay the harness slightly away from me and and whistled to get his attention. he rolled over, and seemed to frown. he padded over, still wary of me, but he sniffed it. He looked up at me as I smiled. I knew that I would take him home with me one day soon. And I already knew what I'd call him. 'Lucky..'.
Lucky's P.O.V
I could smell and hear them, entering my house. There were three of them, coming towards me. I let out a growl, and crouched low, backing up against the wall. The tight metal chain dug into my skin as I moved and I winced at the pain that flared through my head and down my back. I could smell food, coming from somewhere outside, and even as the smell disappeared, my mind filled with images of the bowl of food I'd been given every day before my owners had left me here. I shook my head as the humans came into view, baring my teeth. I could feel the itch on my muzzle getting worse, and I let out a snarl as they approached. If they would just leave I could scratch at the annoying, stinging, itch. They kept getting closer, and my ears got lower until they touched back against my head, and my tail had crept it's way under my legs. They were so close, and they looked terrifying! What if they weren't here to feed me? What if they were here to kill me? My eyes widened and I snarled once more, trying to look as big and tough as possible. They looked around and slowly left the house. As soon as they backed off, I began to scratch, fur flying everywhere, and a few splotches of blood dripping down my side, coming from the scabs that clustered on my fur. Soon, the smell of food began to enter my nose, and each time I breathed in, it seemed to be getting stronger. I looked up from scratching to see a female human placing two silver bowls on the ground nearby and sliding them closer to me. I growled, and looked up at her, to see she was staring back at me. Her eyes met mine and I narrowed them, growling. It wasn't until she left that I edged closer to the silver bowls and sniffed them. Food! and.. and Water! I eagerly dug into the food, snapping it up greedily. I had never tasted this food before, but it tasted like chicken. After gobbling down the food I turned to the water and lapped it up as if I'd never tasted water before, soon, I had drained the bowl. Licking my lips I yawned, my eyes closing momentarily. I felt tired, which was odd, I hadn't been tired before.. I walked back to the torn up couch and curled up beside the leg, which dug uncomfortably into my sore back, but this time it didn't seem to matter. As soon as I rested my head against my paws and wrapped my tail around my snout I was asleep, everything faded to black...
A few hours later, I woke up. I was laying in a soft, warm thing, and there were cream walls surrounding me. It had only felt like 5 minutes, but I was no longer in my home. The humans had taken me. The worst part was.. I knew this place. It must've been the pound. It seemed warmer, less hostile than the pound, but where else could it be? I pulled myself up and walked towards the door. it wasn't metal bars that greeted me however. There was no door! I ran at it, freedom so close. Just as I leapt towards the edge, I crashed into an invisible barrier of sorts, and when I looked closer I could see it was like a transparent wall. Frowning, I licked my stinging nose and paced up and down between the soft bed and the barrier. There were two silver bowls, and no matter how much I wanted to avoid them, I ended up scoffing down both the food and the water that was there. I then continued my pacing. A few minutes later I looked up, hearing footsteps. Narrowing my eyes and baring my teeth, I watched as the familiar person came towards the barrier. The crouched down beside it, watching me with interested in their eyes. I growled and stalked back to the bed, my back to them. If they were going to watch smugly, I wasn't going to give them the satisfaction. A few minutes later, I heard the barrier open and I looked up, snarling. They had some sort of pole with them. They stretched it out and managed to get it over my neck before I even registered what was happening. I was taken from the barrier-blocked walled in cage and into a back-yard-ish area with grass. I sniffed around, very wary of the human who stood by the door-like area, watching me. They looked friendly enough, and the seem to be feeding me healthy food. I narrowed my eyes as they smiled before I look back and crashed into the fence. I growled at it, but I stopped abruptly as I heard a soft, warm and gentle sound fill my ears. I let my tongue hang out of my mouth as I sat down and listened. It slowly stopped, and I realised that it had been the human. Frowning I rolled onto my back and sure enough, the same sound came from the human, and their eyes lit up. Something inside me clicked and I rolled back over, cautiously walking to the human. The placed an object on the ground. It seemed limp, but it was a whitish colour with a strange blueish greenish colour on it. As I sniffed around the object, careful not to get too close, I heard them whisper a name. 'Lucky...'.

Story; Ghost was extremely annoyed to see humans coming to his home. It was his. No one is allowed in his home. Standing at the window barking and snarling he warned the rescuers to stay away. But the silly humans wouldn't listen to him. Running to the door he slammed his paws against it and continued to make noise to show his feelings. No matter what he did to warn off the humans they wouldn't listen to him. The door cracked open and light spilled into the room, letting out one final warning he charged to the door barking and snarling as he tried to chase them out of his home.
Ghost sat very unhappy sitting with two catch poles around his neck to keep him in place. He had tried chewing free already with no success, he had a miserable look on his face that made the humans laugh.

UPDATE;; July | 20 | 2020
|| I've officially left this site. To those who built me up, who encouraged me, who offered me company and roleplayed with me despite my rather juvenile behavior, and who joined me in OC competitions, I want to thank you! This site introduced me to things that would mold and impact my life forever, and would help me find my dream career and grow myself as a person. I may have moved on from CS, but I will never forget my roots, nor will I forget the sheer happiness this site brought and the amazing people I've had the incredible pleasure of meeting. Thank you all so much for helping me to get to where I am today. <3 ||

Blame is a coward but self-righteous
A funny little creature hiding out in me
Hate is power with a price tag
A funny little creature screaming out in me
Listen to me
Fear is a liar but he's been right before
If you fight your shadow, you'll get lost in a war
Ambitions a champ, but he's also greedy
Drunk or sober he always wants more
I always want more
I always want more
Lust is beauty in a body bag
A funny little thing that's screaming "Just use me!"
