Sorry to disturb you. May I ask you something? Why do you paint horses with this unnatural position? a more in free nature would never pose like this.
Many dressage equestrians make their horses doing this exercise by using cruel training methods. I know this, as I had my own horses until some years ago. And I always was laughed at, because I used horse-friendly methods.

Please don't misunderstand me, I don't want to blame you at all! I just would be happy, if people won't like and promote these unnatural positions anymore. And it would be great, if someone, who is painting horses excellently, like you, would gain some more information about dressage and paint horses in natural positions. Or do you think the natural positions are not attractive?
Please don't be angry with me.

I don't think an unnatural posture was the point of these adopts. Its just a good look to display the color and I am sure natural positions are fine from what I know about the painters here. This was just going to be something different from regular standing, trotting or galloping positions. Not every one is going to like the way they look here, but it absolutely does not promote any cruelty to horses.
Not trying to respond angrily, but I don't see much of a problem with this pose.
