Personality/Likes/Dislikes:
Knight is a quiet stallion. He is very sensitive to the moods and feelings of others. As his show name suggests he has a sense of duty and honor beyond most of his species. He is definitely someone who plays by the rules. Though he is blind he rarely ever lets it get him down, and anyone who underestimates him will certainly realize their mistake before long. While Knight is an awesome stallion with a great personality, he has his faults too. Sometimes he is so wrapped up in doing the right thing, he forgets that you can't always follow the rules, sometimes you have to make exceptions, and break some rules to truly do the right thing. Though he doesn’t lack bravery, he sometimes hold back when experiencing new things. He feels comfortable with what he knows, and he likes thing to stay the same. Change bothers him as well, and he will almost always try to avoid it. His views on family are cloudy, it is fine for some Sleepwalkers, but he doesn’t need anyone. Some of these opinion come from a slight insecurity with his blindness, though he refuses to admit it.
Knight enjoys the sunny weather, feeling the warmth of the sun's rays on his back. When winter comes, and he can no longer feel the sun he becomes depressed. The warmth from the sun is the only 'light' in his life and when it goes away he is left feeling cold and lonely. He doesn't mind company, but would rather be alone. He is willing to help others, but often won't accept help for himself.
He likes anything he can feel, the softness of a flower's petals, the gentle caress of a morning breeze, even the prick of a rose's thorns. What he can feel, he can imagine he can see. He likes sounds, like the beat of a butterflies wings, or the call of a bluebird, but many sounds are confusing to him. Mostly harsh, unfriendly sounds, like a dog's growl or nails across a chalkboard. These are sounds that make him feel nervous, and wary. They remind him of the bad things in the world, a world he can't see for himself. But, luckily for him his life has been a fairly good one. Having been blind for as long as he can remember it hasn't bothered him that way it would have if he had gone blind after having sight. His biggest regret is that he never got to see the things he hears other animals talk about. To him, yellow is the warmth he feels from the sun, blue is cool like the stream he lies to wade in, or musical like the bubbling of a stream or a blue bird's song. Green is the feel of the grass beneath his hooves, or the brush of a leaf against his coat, or the sweet tang of the river plants he loves to eat. Sometimes he wonders what these thing look like, but he never lets these things get him down for long. The one thing he has no real idea of, is the bonds of love between friends, family, or mates. He has vague memories of the mare who raised him, and beyond that he has never been close to another Swampwalker. Though he doesn't seem to care, he also doesn't realize what he could be missing. But, you never know, maybe somewhere there are some special Swampwalkers who will become special to him.
