Volks are immortal nocturne wolf-like creatures, found by humans in a foreign planet a few years ago. Volks do not breed and the birth of these creatures is still unknown.
Their main features are very long ears and tail, feathers on their cheek fur and tail and long and sharp claws. Their pupils are always the exact same color as the iris, making it look like they have no pupil at all. Their feathers, nose, claws, ear fur and tongue glow in the dark. Their size is close to a wolf's. Volks are very agile creatures due to their slim bodies, making it easy for them to escape in any kind of situations. They can easily swim and climb trees. Volks have an omnivore diet, even though they feed mostly on fruits.
Volks are smart creatures, extremely friendly and curious. Some of them are usually tamed by humans before reaching their maturity. Once you tame a wolf, both you and your wolf receive the same marking on the same body part, representing your bond. Some markings are simple and some markings are complex - the complexity of the marking matches the effort of the taming process.

feel at peace and the design is very calming

Everyday I walk though the forest and pass by a waterfall. There's always this young one alone, lying down by the waterfall on the rocks in sh
ades of grey. I watch her from the distance trying to figure out the reason she's always there, always on the same place, always with the sam
e sorrowful expression. She seems to murmur some words I cannot completely understand, but I can feel a mournful tone in her voice. I wond
er who she's talking to... Is it to herself? Is it to someone she wished to listen to her? I don't know and I never really figured it out.

Her fur was the same shade of the rocks, but the tips of her body were a darker grey, so dark it was almost black. Her body also had a beauti
ful shade of purple on certain spots, barely noticeable at first sight. She would lie down as if she were out of energy and look up at the water
fall. Her eyes had a melancholic shine and from her perspective the waterfall would make anyone look trivial.

One I stepped closer, still unnoticed to her, and tried to listen to the words that slipped out of her mouth.

"I wish I could fly..." She whispered. "You must feel the same way, don't you?"

She would never deviate her sight from the waterfall, almost as if the one she was talking to was the waterfall. Any confused mind would rep
eat the same questions over and over again. Who was she talking to? Is it really to the waterfall? And why?

I once politely asked her those questions in the hope that she would give me a clarifying answer.

"I think the water wants to fly. The water keeps being pulled down no matter what and she keeps falling down with no other choice. It m
ust be hard when she wants to fly. I hear her cry for help every day and every night but no one seems to care. Instead, they just pleasantl
y watch her diving, facing her fate, and say her shouts are calm and refreshing. It's in vain but she never stops, hoping one day she will be
able to fly."

After all, her words were indeed directed to the waterfall. She talked about the water as if it were one of her kind. I could feel her own grief
in her words, almost as if she was talking about herself. Maybe that's why she would lie there, right next to the waterfall. Maybe it was becau
se she felt like they understood each other. Maybe it's because she would find herself in the waterfall. One thing is for sure, the young one ha
d a strong bond with the waterfall and she felt at home when she was there.

Personality: Quiet, competitive, yet caring deep down. Asara often gives her heart steel armor, but she can't deny it is all mushy inside. She can find the hearts in anyone, but tends to keep her thoughts to herself. Though bossy, Asara is understanding of others and does try to help them.
Why do you want this volk?: I love volks, and have never actually won one. I love the color combination of this one and think it would be a great addition to my little volk pack. Also, I think she would be a very fun character to develop and draw.

okay so ive been pondering who to hand this one over to for a loooooonnnng while! sorry it took so long x3

now i didnt pick Aequi based on the form and effort (Though its very nice) everyone had really good forms and i really liked a lot of the ideas you guys had and reasoning x3
