[★] meeting on christmas

Postby demonthief. » Tue Dec 22, 2015 5:32 pm

My Christmas' have never been covered in a layer of snow, the sun still heated up the ground and air all through December. Those golden rays lit up my white room through the patterned curtains and my eyes snapped open. It is today I whispered to myself and slowly sat up, my dark coloured hair unruly. Pulling back the curtains revealed crystal clear skies, with the sun rising over the wooden barn that sat outside my bedside window. Rubbing my eyes softly, I quickly got dressed as countless family members were to arrive, even though I wouldn't turn any heads if I stayed in my pajamas. With a soft sigh, I got dressed and tied my hair into a ponytail as I made my way down the spiraling stairs. My hand trialed on the wooden hand rail, eyes drawn to the flashing lights that were projected on the wall by the large Christmas tree in the lounge room. Oh, I whispered as my feet planted on the flat ground and I leaned through the connecting to door to the kitchen to see it was empty. I guess it is still… early I thought as the clock on the wall said 6:30." I was always an early riser " I said with chuckle as I ate a collection of strawberries and walked towards the flashing Christmas tree with a smile. Glancing at the stairs, I sat down crossing my legs and gazed at the gifts wrapped in red paper. Each gift had a name on it with shiny sticker labels that my mother had been using for years due to her buying a pack of 50 accidently one year. Leaning forward I reached to pick up a smallish gift, bringing it closer to examine. Twisting the box this way and that, I placed it back under the lit up tree after I realized that I was never going to figure out what it was, even with my vast experience of 'present sensing'.

It was lunch time by the time everyone arrived, aunties and uncles with their children flooding through the front door and getting into position by the Christmas tree. The room was filled with laughter and cheer as people slowly opened their presents, children showing their parents what they got before moving on to the next festively wrapped gift. On my lap rested my last gift, a thick novel that I had been waiting for a good month for. As my eyes scanned the wonderful cover art, my uncle came forward and handed me another gift with his signature mischievous grin on his face. "What is this?" I asked with grin, tearing off the shiny paper to reveal a box inside. My uncle only grinned and gestured with a nod of his head to keep going. Sighing with a smile on my face, I opened the box and it revealed a gorgeous halter. It's metal buckles shone in the light and a huge smile grew on my face. "Oh, this is beautiful. I am sure it will look great on Dalia or Lance" I said, standing up to hug my uncle. My two Hyrule Gypsies were my pride and joy, both beautiful horses who were both happily enjoying their own treat of carrots in one of the pastures outside. "Oh, no. That isn't for them" he said as he pulled out of the hug and laughed at the confused look on my face. He walked slowly down the hallway and after another confused look directed at my parents, I followed him with my hands clasped behind my back. We made our way outside, my shoes crunching on the gravelled ground as we walked towards the stables. I frowned as we made our way through the large, wooden stables with my uncle giving no hints to what he had planned. But suddenly horse noises became apparent and I knew it was neither Dalia or Lance as they were both outside. "No.No!" I shouted and ran past him and stopped outside a stall with a gorgeous horse in it who reached their nose out in greeting. "Santa must have left them here. I got you the halter for Lance" my uncle joked as he watched me fangirl over my new horse. My heart pounded in my chest with happiness and I couldn't stop smiling. "Oh, uncle. Thank you, thank you! You are the best!" I said in a high pitched voice and ran to him for a hug, thinking of my new wonderful addition.

[★] introduction to the herd

Postby demonthief. » Sun Jan 03, 2016 11:32 pm

My gorgeous stallion had settled well over the last few days as the sky began increasingly dark. Asterix turned out to be quite an affectionate stallion. Really gentle when I walked up to the gate to feed him and always seemed to be hyper-aware of his feet when I came close to groom him, making sure he wouldn't step on my feet. His golden eyes always had a curious light to them and whenever my back was turned, I would find a soft muzzle deep in my jumper pocket when I turned back. Asterix was doing well on his own but I knew that a friendly stallion like him would soon become quite lonely so I planned to join him with the two Gypsies I already had. Pulling back the curtains revealed a thick layer of dark clouds, whipping across the sky as winds pushed them onward. Not exactly the best weather for the horses to meet but with severe weather warning posted for the next few days, it needed to happen sooner than later as I didn't want to stand in the rain as the Gypsies played around. Sighing softly to myself and pulling my brown hair into a ponytail, I quickly got dressed and headed downstairs. My siblings and mother were still asleep, the clock on the wall only read 7:00 but my father had left to go on a business trip so it was a little strange to be the only one up this early as usually he would accompany me. Rolling up the sleeves of my navy jumper, I walked outside towards the large stables to collect my big softie.

Walking into the stables, I made my way to the stall closest to the door and most got knocked out as Asterix quickly popped his head out of the stall to see who it was. "Jeez" I whispered as I righted myself and pet the soft muzzle, moving a long strand of white mane out of the stallion's face who only extended his muzzle into my chest to get a pat. Tsking softly, I placed his halter on his head and attached a lead rope with a click, opening the stall door with a soft sigh. The stallion hesitated for a moment but soon was tugging on the lead rope to go for a wander. "This way" I said with a chuckle and walked through the barn doors that Asterix quickly trotted through, his long tail swaying behind him as he waited for me to show the way. Clicking my tongue, I lead him to the large pasture that was located at the base of a hill and covered in towering pine trees whose leaves swayed in the wind. The sound of my boots on the dirt path caused my other stallion, Lance and my mare, Dalia to look up from grazing and they quickly made their way to the dark fence to see the new comer. I opened the gate and lead Asterix through it as the sound of thundering hooves grew louder, taking off the halter to make sure that he didn't catch it on anything as he interacted with the others and stood back. The mare loitering towards the back after quickly sniffing the stallion but Lance was more brave. The dark coated stallion came close, so close that their muzzles were almost touching before both males nickered and danced backwards. "Be nice lads" I said and both stallions looked at me, walking over with relaxed postures thinking I had something for them. Going well then I thought as I pulled down the sleeves of my jumper as cool winds whipped around us, the horses going back to suss each other out. Almost touching muzzles and then racing around the paddock, hooves thundering on the grass. When I was confident that there were no signs of bad aggression, I left them be. As I closed the gate a single raindrop fell on my cheek, causing me to cast my eyes upwards at the black sky. Not wanting to be caught in the rain, I hurried home to have some well deserved breakfast.

Congrats Demonthief :D

Your writing was amazing for your gypsy, I really enjoyed reading all that you wrote and happy to say that he's all yours and you can now proceed to breed him if you want ^_^

Also, if you want the bow removed I can take it off if you don't want it on his leg anymore
