We wonder if they’re there,
If they really even care.
When they stare through us,
With a look of horror and disgust.
More empty bottles.

Do they despise us?
It seems that way,
When they yell and cuss.
We never get a say

There is no pleasing some people these days.
When they glower and huff,
The memory of angry eyes stays…
Sometimes they get rough.

When they lash out and cuff,
Tears spring to your eyes,
But you must look tough,
So you stay in disguise.

Whatever the reason, it is a common sight to see this gelding 'dancing' in his paddock with a seemingly overly enthusiastic glint in his eyes.
