Story: As a young Filly Tops was very spunky, completely opposite from what she is now. She was quite wild and skittish towards people, she never let them get to close and would always flee before they could attempt to touch her. She enjoyed her freedom and was very childish well into her 2nd year racing with the other foals and yearlings and trying to prove her superiority (she may be a little vain). When it came to being halter broken she was stubborn and hard to tame. She fought senselessly till she had no strength left in her limbs. Her trainer would exclaim "quite a fire in that one" when ever she striked out in frustration. But he saw potential in her to make a fine noble mount for someone of high social standards. she held herself beautifully and her gates were as smooth as polished stone.
When she did finally brake it was not as though her spirit had fled her, no quite the contrary. Tops discovered that it was much easier to work with the humans then against them (did i mention she was clever) she discovered that even under saddle she could still have the freedom to run and race other horses (even if they didn't realize it was a race) But what really brought her into her element was her first fox hunt! Now that was life!
