More about Halloween Spirit wrote: Halloween Spirit is just one of those who has to raise the spirit when it gets to Halloween. But he is always careful things are safe, and wouldn't hurt anything without a good reason. He has an extreme attachment to dressing up like a mummy. It take allot to spook this guy, and if you do, then good going!

Training [Halloween Spirit - Mummy]

First Touch wrote:I was just sitting in town enjoying some candy. Next thing I know is I fly from my seat and land on the ground as a few piece of candy pounce off my face. I look up to see a neravontii dressed like a mummy waving his tail hand in my face. He offered a hand and pulled me up off the ground. I laughed a bit "That was a good one. You have a lot of Halloween Spirit." I asked him if he was here with someone. He looked in the distance and there was another neravontii dressed as a ghost. I whistled and called her over. How about I take you two to my place to stay?

I had already settled them into my place. I started growing attachment to Halloween Spirit. "Oh yeah, Halloween Spirit is the name I gave to #357." I had spoiled the two with Pumpkin pie, since that is what the other neravontii seemed to love, and Spirit seemed to enjoy it as well. I stroke Spirit, "how would you like to be apart of the family Spirit?" He nodded and looked at the mare. "You'll get a home as well girl I promise you that. But and till then you can stay"

First Saddle wrote: I decided to let Spirit settle in some before pulling him from his stall. I ran out to his stall and had a new halter and lead specially for him. Because of his Spirit for Halloween, I had picked up a black one with thin orange stripes. I slipped the halter onto him and lead him out. He pranced as he admired the Halloween decorations all over the stall and outside as we stepped out. He nudged me and I gave him some candy corn.

I took off to the tack room to pull out a saddle and bridle that I had also gotten specially for him. "Hey boy, because of your Halloween spirit, how do you like this tack?" He snorted unsure of what I had but decided to check it out. I pulled out a red saddle pad, made specially for him. I sighed as I looked at his bandages. I gave them a small tug. "I guess I'll keep it on you, because you love it so much and it seems snug." I could just tighten and fix it up afterwards. I set the saddle pad on his back and he checked it out. I then placed a black and red saddle on his back with silver metal bits. He allowed me to fasten it to him.

I reached for the bridle, which was black and red with silver metal bits as well. I lured him with a bit of candy as I introduced the bridle. He seemed a bit cautious of the bridle. I slowly slipped it onto his head and popped the bit into his mouth no problem. I buckled and adjusted the bridle to fit snug.

I finally lead him to the round pen and decided to teach him the signals and tricks and played with him a bit. I didn't really need to do any joining up but let him run to adjust to the tack. He seemed to had taken a strong liking to me.
After working with him for a couple of hours, I had walked him to the water to let him get a drink then removed his tack. I placed him back in his stall and gave him a few pieces of candy corn, then gave a few to the mare and stroked her softly. "You two behave tonight."

First Ride wrote:The next day I went to care for all of my neravontiis, and groomed a few who were dirty. I was tired but made it to Spirit and the mare. I gave them each a slice of pumpkin pie and pulled Spirit out. I got him cleaned up a bit but hard with his mummy bandages. I slipped a halter over the mare, then lead her to Spirit. I tied her next to Spirit, then tacked up Spirit.
I took spirit into the round pen and worked on him for a few minutes before mounting him. I ran over to grab the mare's lead, then met back up with Spirit and mounted him.

He did well in saddle and we rode out into town to enjoy the Halloween Spirit of town. Many people had asked about the mare in a ghost costume. I told them she was for adoption, and that I was working on her before adopting her out. We rode for awhile and the two got tons of attention after startling many kids.

We finally headed home and I put the two away after removing the tack and halters. I offered them some pumpkin pie and went to eat then care more for the rest of the neravontiis.
