Becca

Gender:
Mare

Eye Color:
Brown

Personality:
Becca is rebellious. She always has been. She can't be easily ridden, and is often seen dragging stable boys around the paddock on the end of her harness rope. Young children annoy her, they are too whiny and too easy to accidentally hurt. And to her, teenage boys are obnoxious, and she doesn't care for them either. So instead she likes rebellious girls, who will stand up to her and challenge her. She is dangerous and fearless, the few that can ride her are often thrown off, but if you can stay on, she is an amazing horse to ride. She is a hunter/jumper, and is fast, graceful, intelligent. And whatever you do, don't get between her and her sweet apples!

Personality: Eternity is a kind and warmhearted horse, but she has been known to be very stubborn and stands up for what she believes in. She is competitive, but always lets the foals win the games.
Height: 17 HH
Happiest Memory: When i was 9, my grandfather passed away. He had been in the hospital for 8 months, and at teh time he was in a coma. I was at my friend's pool, and i was playing, when my brother came over and said "he's gone." I didnt register for the longest second, then i realized. i sobbed for at least 20 minutes. But my mom hugged me and said "Your Aunt Kate said that just as the monitor stopped beeping, the brightest flash of lightning illuminated that room. It isnt raining here, but it is 60 miles away." That made my heart happy, becasue i knew that he was watching over me. Before he died, i saw the most beatiful butterfly, dead in the pool. I picked it up, and i shook it a little, and it flopped, dead as can be. I put it on a flower, to honor it. Just as my grandpa died, teh butterfly rose up and landed on my nose. I know this seems sad, but it proved to me that miracles do happen <3

Happiest Memory: I only half remember this one but it makes me laugh-I was only quite young and so was my little sister, we were at a funeral and they we're trying to play the sad song that you hear at funerals, anyway they played this song called pony instead on accident and my little sister and I started dancing to it, all the people were angry and disgusted but we just kept on dancing in front of everyone, I think it's better to laugh than cry though.

Happiest Memory: My happiest memory would be when i first learnt to gallop on a horse. I was going riding with a few friends at a horse riding tour place which i often go to, so the tour guide and people who work there know me and don't really care what i do. I took my horse (not really mine but everyone refers to him as mine) up to the base of the hill in Play paddock, as the name suggests it is where we get to play around and have fun on our rides. First one of the guides and a helper went, to make sure me and the younger helpers were safe and that the horses didn't bolt when we got to the end of the gallop.
Then went Oakie (i'll go by horse name) who is a really fast horse, then was Tori who is a bay Thoroughbred and then me and Spearo. It was magical! All i could hear was the wind, hoofbeats and my own heart thumping like it was going to pop out of my chest. From the trail, the space we galloped looked like it would take sometime to do but once you are out there and going for it it only feels like a matter of seconds, and for those few seconds there is magic and you are flying like a bird in the wind. For those few seconds nothing else matters and nothing else exists.

Happiest Memory:
I think my happiest memory occurred this summer, when I went to Warped Tour with my best friend. It was my third time going ever, and her first. Her parents had taken us down in a trailer so we could camp out on the beach, and go swimming after we got back. The spot we had was absolutely breathtaking. We spent the entire first day together in the water, swimming, splashing around, just having a ton of fun.
Then the next day comes. Warped Tour day. We're both as excited as can be, and the moment we get there, we're both screaming. The lineup was perfect, and we were able to see every band we wanted and I got us into a few meet and greets, so we got a lot of our mercy signed. So the day goes on, listening to music, meeting bands, and having a lot of fun. And then this guy approaches us, a guitarist for an up and coming band. He asks us to come check out their newest CD, and so we do. We meet the whole band, who are all as sweet as can be, and the drummer is really excited when he comes to talk to us... and he gives me his number. He just hands me his number, and invites the both of us to the Warped Tour after party.
I don't think we had ever been more excited, nor had we ever giggled so much over something. It was so random, but really cool that something like that would happen to us. To this day, the drummer is a really good friend of mine, and his band is actually coming out to where I live on tour this month. They've planned five stops all relatively close to me, and he's been texting me non-stop about how excited he is to see the two of us again. Yay for band friends!

Happiest Memory:
4 Years Ago I adopted a Wild Mustang from BLM. I didn't live with my parents anymore I lived with my Friend 6 hours away from my family/Boyfriend where I gentled and trained my Mustang myself. After living there for a few months I couldnt take being away from my family or boyfriend any longer. I had 3 horses and a Goat at my friends house.(It was a huge horse farm which is why I moved there) I had to sell 2 of my horses and my childhood goat (I brought him with me when I moved to my friends). But I used whatever money I had to haul My Mustang 6 hours back to my familys house. I don't have much land all I had was about a acre. The county didnt like me having a horse there and I didn't have a job just yet to board. So I had to sell him. It was hard for me. I was extremely depressed and heartbroken.. I couldnt even look at a farm/horse/stall/horse trailer or anything without crying. I was very close to the people I sold him to so they would post photos etc of him. One year later April 2015 On Easter Sunday I receive a text message asking if I would like to buy my beautiful Mustang back. I started crying while eating easter dinner with my boyfriend. I said yes In a heartbeat. That week I had my horse back. I have a job so I could afford him, and a beautiful farm to board him. I couldnt be happier. <3 I still have him 5 months later and hes not going anywhere. I have made new friends with the other boarders, and I will soon be going camping with them an our horses at a horse campground. I am experiencing things I would dream about.

Here's a few photos of him if youd like to see: Thunder Buddy This one is adorable

Show Name: Shadow's Memory
Barn Name: Shadoe
Gender: Mare
Eye Color: Brown
Personality: Shadoe is a bright young mare. She isn't shadowy in color but in action like the kitten she is named for. She likes to follow you around like a shadow. She is sweet tempered and loves children as well as adults. She is even calm enough to deal with other animals that might scare other horses just like the kitten who befriend the doberman.
Height: 17 HH
Happiest Memory: This is a hard one because it is also sad. When I was little my grandma used to work for this lady and baby sitted her daughter. Well someone had dropped off a whole litter of kittens in her yard. For two weeks everyday my aunt and I would be in her convertible to pick up and grandma. Each day one silver grey kitten with a white spoyt on her chest and belly would hop down into the car and into my lap. After two weeks they decided I could bring Shadoe home. It was the happiest day of my life. Now years later after 10 years I still miss my girl who died of frozen lung. I miss her and everytime I see a silver grey cat I cry.

Happiest Memory:
(Sorry, it's a little long, but I promise it's worth it!)

My happiest memory comes from a school-trip to an amusement park. I'm afraid of rollercoasters and amusement park rides in general, so obviously it wasn't my first choice. But somehow my parents convinced me to go, and so I did.

One of my best friends went with me to the amusement park, and the first thing we did as soon as we got in was to eat a massive bowl of ice cream from Coldstone Creamery. I am a huge lover of ice cream, so of course that was fun, but then my friend mentioned the rides. I had told her before that trip that I was afraid, but she didn't really think I was as scared as I was when we started to walk around the park looking for something to do. Finally, after searching for about a half hour, we found this little river raft ride. It seemed simple enough, the scariest part seemed to be the big drop at the end. So finally after a whole lot of convincing, she got me in the waiting line for the ride. After about a twenty minute wait, it was our turn to board the ride.

As you probably know, most river raft rides are continuous, so while you are boarding it it keeps moving. So my friend gently pushed me into the raft, and got into the seat in front of me. It was a simple three-seat boat, so no one else was with us as we began to ride, which was probably a good thing, because I began to freak out. As we inched along in the water, I scrambled to get out of the raft, crying and screaming. Unfortunately, by that point we had started up the ramp that would begin the ride. My friend was shocked at how afraid I was, and quickly began to distract me with fun questions about what I plan on doing in the future. It calmed me down, and as I began to relax, we came upon the first small drop in the ride. I of course began to freak again, and she quickly began to soothe my fears by singing popular pop songs obnoxiously loud and out of tune as we rode down the falls.

So after we got off the ride, of course I wanted to go on again, realizing how fun it was. And so we went on again two more times. My friend tried to convince me to go on something else, and I refused, so we ended up just wandering around the park, looking for something new to do.

After walking a little ways, we came upon a guy friend of ours (my major crush). His friend apparently didnt want to do anything he did, so he ended up joining us. I offered to have him ride with us on the river raft again and he agreed. This time, as we rode down the man-made river, we all sang together, all obnoxiously loud and out of tune. After that, we rode the ride about five more times, my fears completely gone as we laughed up above the trees.

Sunset soon came, and it was time to ride the bus home, about a four-hour trip back. We had to be back at the bus by eight o'clock, and we would get in major trouble if we weren't there. After our last ride on the rafts, we were already going to be late. So we all ran to the parking lot, me being half dragged/ half carried by my crush to the bus. We made it just in time.

So as we rode back home, the three of us were exhausted. We all sat in the very back of the bus together, and as the last of the day's sunlight drifted away, my best friend fell asleep beside me. As the whole bus of kids fell asleep, my crush who had been sitting on the other side of me leaned over and put his head between his hands on his knees, and began to fall asleep. Uncomfortable, I finally asked if I could lay on his back and sleep. He said yes. So I quickly drifted off to the quiet, strong beat of my crushes' heart. Best day ever.

After an hour or so had passed, my best friend woke me up. She grabbed my shoulder in her sleep and yelled, "Polar Bear!", which scared me half to death, but I was too tired to really do anything about it. As she fell into deeper sleep, I gently sat up and took off my sweater and layed it on her because she was shivering from the cold wind coming in from the open windows of the bus. I was warm enough from the heat coming off of my crush as he slept anyways. I drifted into sleep again when she woke me up again, this time awake enough to see the light from a football field we were passing, but not enough to be actually awake. After one more sleeping best friend experience, I finally got some good sleep.

We arrived back at the school at twelve o'clock that night, and I woke up to my crush waking up underneath my head. I jumped up as the bus lights came on, hoping no one noticed I had been sleeping on him. Fortunately, no one did.

It had been the best day of my life, and I will remember it forever, I'm sure.

Show Name: Changing of the Seasons
Barn Name: Ceres
Gender: Mare
Eye Color: Brown
Personality: Named after the Greek goddess of the harvest, Ceres is a kind, but hardworking mare. Never one to back out when it comes to a challenge, Ceres is always the last one working because she wants to make sure she accomplishes the most. No task is too big in her mind; if she wants to accomplish something, she'll make sure she is able to, even if it means working from dawn to dusk. At the same time, Ceres is also motherly. A guiding hand, or rather a guiding hoof for all the young horses. All the foals tend to cling to her as they all see her is a mother-like figure. Other horses trust her and her suggestions since she's never been one to steer others in the wrong direction. Although her selflessness is admired by others, it sometimes can lead Ceres to forget her own needs. She always puts everyone else's wants and needs before her own. She can't really help the fact that she does this, as it's really just in her nature, but sometimes it leaves her feeling exhausted since she seems to never stop. Even though she sometimes feels tiredness creeping up on her, she typically fights though it because she knows that there is always still work to be done. Her respect and love from the other horses is well-earned and she is very deserving of it.
Height: 17 HH
Happiest Memory: (Here's the story of a crazy day that I think was the most weird but fun day of my life. I tried to cut it down since I don't want to make you have to spend too much time reading)

It was the first week of summer break and I'd decided to take my two non-equestrian friends to this trail riding place to go for a hack since we didn't get to do anything for my birthday that was a few weeks before, as we were so busy with exams.

The drive there was supposed to be an hour long, but it ended up being over two hours, not including our stop. Our stop you ask? So you'd never guess what happened; there was a car stopped in the middle of the road and two people standing beside it with a man laying on the ground between them. "Oh my lord was this a murder?!" was my first thought at the moment, but it turns out that a diabetic man had passed out and two people who lived nearby (we were out in the countryside) came to help him. My dad who had some first aid/emergency training went to help (and they were eventually able to help the man), but my friends and I sat on a blanket (from our car's emergency kit) that we had spread out on the grass beside the road. This ended up taking about half an hour, so in that time, we had a road-side picnic with the snacks that we'd brought.

When we actually managed to get to the place, we still had twenty minutes to waste until our ride. In this time, we played with this adorable mini they had. Also, we learned unintentionally that if you imitate goats near a goat, they'll make noises back. It was hilarious. There's nothing funnier than saying 'AHH' and hearing a goat reply 'BAAHHH'. Seriously nothing XD

So finally we are getting on our horses and we are all thrilled with how gorgeous and healthy they were. The three of us and our guide set off down the path, but my friend's horse decided he wanted to not go and then he wanted to trot. She was pretty scared with this, so we switched horses so she could ride the one I was on as we thought it'd be easier. The horse I had been on dragged her halfway into a field to eat grass and we were laughing so hard at her failed attempts to get the horse back to the path.

Now keep in mind, we'd only been out on the trail for about ten minutes and we'd already had to do a horse swap. The day had gone pretty off course, but nonetheless, we thought it would all go smoothly from then on. We couldn't have been more wrong. It all of a sudden started raining.... Not just a little bit, I'm talking full on downpour. We continued our ride, nonstop laughing about the odds of what had happened and about how soaked we'd be. It didn't stop pouring rain until only a minute before we got off of our horses. I don't even know how that weird timing happened, but it made for quite a sight; three completely rain-soaked girls just walking down the path, water sloshing out of the tops of our boots and dripping down our faces and clothes. We looked like we'd just gone swimming in our clothes! The people who ran the place happened to live on site, so they offered to put our clothes in the dryer. They gave us towels and that's all we had to wear for the next hour. We spent this time in the room they had for their summer camp (since the camp hadn't started yet). We put on music and played foosball and drank the juice in the fridge (they said we could of course). I don't know how that turn of events happened, but really I couldn't have asked for a better day. We all couldn't stop laughing and smiling because it was all so much fun. It was like our own little adventure. When our friends asked what happened, it was one of those times where we looked at each other grinning and laughed, "You had to be there", because no words could describe how perfectly imperfect that day was.
