Long story short, he was electrocuted. There was a pretty mare he wanted to impress, and he was always fascinated with lightning as a foal. He could make sparks fly somehow with those horseshoes. You'd think those scars came from the fire he started that night, but the horses had escaped from that barn straight into the middle of the storm. He gazed in awe at its beauty, having never been outside in a storm. Lightning struck him and burned his coat, but during recovery he couldn't help but continue making sparks from his horseshoes against stones. That's where the scars had stayed, and why they're spotted rather than lightning shaped.

Shaking his large head he passed the thought as nothing until he heard one of the mares in one pasture over whinny with fear, a cougar had gotten over the fence and was trying to attack a mares foal. Bubs charged and jumped over the fence and galloped as hard as he could at the big cat. He and the feline fought until he chased it off. Each scar is a spot where the cats claws cut his skin. How he got his scars: Ex wasn't the brightest foal, and got burrs stuck all over his coat. Before anyone could pull them off, he rolled, causing the burrs to puncture his, at the time, sensitive skin, and leaving behind some scars. When he was brought in to be groomed, the stablehand noticed and pulled them out gently, and the vet treated the wounds. The pasture with burrs was then treated so it wouldn't happen again.

How he got his scars: [max. 150 words] Rebel is as his name say a rebel! Being young and dumb he had no respect for the older horses, being so he managed to get into fights with the older colts and stallions. One day when Rebel was around two, two and half he thought he might try his luck with the black Friesian stallion in the neighboring paddock. Bad idea! On entering the paddock through a break in the fence he found himself in a world of pain, bolting up from the creek came the 16 hand high 5 year old stallion who wouldn't give such an imbecile any mercy. A few kicks, bites and double barrels later, Rebels League found himself on the ground. The kicks lift deep wounds as did the bites, the constant situation of running into the barb wire fence didn't help with the pain of defeat.

How he got his scars: Rocky was kept in a very small pen for most of his life. The pen had two inch pipe fence all the way around, as he was kept as a stud. He grew used to being able to lean all of his weight on the fence to look out of eat grass on the other side. He was bought when he was 6, and turned out into his own personal paddock lined with five strands of barbed wire. Not knowing that barbs were sharp, or that wire can't hold all his weight, he tried to treat it like he did at his old home. It took a few cuts and scrapes from the barbs before he finally figured it out, and so he has little cuts and nicks all over him.
