Paint-Tailed Pythons(PTP) are a unique breed of pythons that have paint seeping from their tail tips. PTP tend to be slightly smaller than their close cousins, ball pythons, females being around 2-3 feet long and males 1-2 feet long. Hatchlings are dramatically smaller at only 5 inches long.
Pythons tend to be quite intelligent, and PTP are no exception. PTP tend to be quite shy when first introduced to their owners, but will warm up quickly and soon become inseparable. PTP have exceptionally long lifespans, and have been known to live for upwards of 60 years.

Why Are They So Obsessed With Sea Shells?:
Narci is a very benevolent python, living with an altruistic and compassionate mindset near the water. She spends most of her time in a secluded salt marsh within the upper coastal Intertidal Zone; while she enjoys travelling, she always returns to this specific area she calls home.
During her time in the salt marsh, she tends to spend long periods of time digging up Brittle sea stars & Atlantic ribbed mussels from the sand to set them back into the water; they're commonly washed in from the ocean by the dozens, and setting them back became a self-assigned job.
Sea shells are one of Narci's most prized possessions; very rarely are they brought in by the tides, instead replaced by stones, sea glass, or debris from far shores. Most of the shells that do end up being carried in are either broken or faded. Needless to say, fully structured and colorful shells are hard for her to come across and set aside in her collection.
One of the ribbed mussels she had found buried in the sand, covered by a patch of reeds, was more oddly shaped and heavier than most of the others she'd saved. After she'd pulled it out and turned it over, she was surprised to find a lightly colored shell with blue & pink accents attached to it's back. In size comparison, the shell was about twice the size of the mussel. She was able to easily detach it, and was confused as to how it was even there in the first place, as well as travel through the rough water without breaking.
Marci soon came to think of this lovely shell as a gift from some force of the ocean for trying to save the washed ashore creatures; the odd way she obtained it made it even more special to her, and she wanted to keep it close to her for as long as she could. Using twine, she crafted the shell into a necklace, holding it near since then.
Personality:
As mentioned before, Narci is very selfless, caring, and well-meaning. She loves the various sea organisms left on the shore from the high tides above all, and tirelessly tries to set them all back in the water - it's the reasoning for her life there. Everyone else in general are thought of as more important than herself in her mind, unless a specific being has done something undeserving of that title to her.
While seeming meek and timid, Narci is far from shy and oblivious, and finds great excitement in meeting new individuals. She's full of optimism; while this makes a few others she lives around deem her annoying, most look up to and admire her, and seek her out when they have problems. Even when someone is rather rude to her, she'll respond as if she doesn't even notice - this leads the few aforementioned others to believe she's unable to stand up for and defend herself, when in reality she'll merely give anyone a chance to maintain her good side before determining who she wants nothing more to do with.
All kindness aside, Narci can be very fierce when provoked and, while she isn't easily angered, is all bite when needed. She knows when harshness is and isn't required, as well as nearly every other emotion and action. This plays a large part in her overall personality.
