Bad Impressions-Japanese names that
are not native japanese.
[Link to my Rant]-Excessive Repetition
-Sob stories/Dark Back Stories where they are ONLY a victim
Bad pasts are great, when the character isn't just a helpless victim. It de-characterizes them and only makes them pitiable. However, if their own actions played a part in their negative pasts, even causing them, that makes their character more complex and often shows more details about them than what can simply be told in a personality section.-Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus. (Characters that are "practically perfect in every way"
-Mary Poppins)
-Misrepresentation of gender/sexuality/disabilities/occupations/etc.
If you do not know much about a certain subject, but you want to include it in your character, do a lot of research and try to properly represent it. Also, remember, that every "common trait" can still be expressed or experienced differently by different people, so generalizing such a trait can also be a form of misrepresentation. If you are not confident in your ability to represent a trait fairly, then it is probably safer to not use it.End DateIt will end on
