CC#5.86

Postby Metallic Dragon » Fri Aug 28, 2015 6:24 pm

Canis Concolor, otherwise known as Zvers, are an alien species that were discovered aboard a crashed space ship. Initially believed to be too vicious to tame, humans have begun to form bonds with these strange beasts, despite warnings from government agents who want them rounded up and exterminated. Despite several attempts, the government has thus far been unable to recapture them and Zvers have begun to breed. Many average joes have set off in search of a Zver to call their very own after hearing rumors that the intelligent creatures could be tamed with a bit of bribery and gentle coaxing. Will you join the hunt?

This zver is quite strange... Actually, they were built rather than born. Commissioned by an exceptionally rich bounty hunter, this zver was made to hunt its own kind. It was created with a highly advanced super-computer for a brain, meant in every way to mimic the behaviors of real zvers in hopes of infiltrating their society to act as a tracking device. Unfortunately for the hunter who purchased it, the artificial intelligence was set too high and the robotic zver took on a mind of its own, shutting down its tracking software and disappearing without a trace.
It has been rediscovered no worse for wear, 'living' alone outside a scrap metal yard.

Special notes about this zver:
- It cannot be bred, despite having a technical 'biological sex' of male
- Tuft potions cannot be used on this zver

To win this zver, please fill out the following application. You may add extras, pretty it up, etc if you would like.
This competition will end on September 3rd, giving you one week to complete your form.

I can't help myself, the idea behind this guy is too interesting to pass up!

Describe their scrap yard home:
He makes his den in the body of an old land rover, the car has long since lost its wheels and all important parts have long since been scavenged. The car itself is dented and battered, the result of a car wreck one would assume. It's said to be haunted since people have often heard strange noises from it. That of course was merely Arvaraast making himself comfortable.

The scrap yard is full of old bits and pieces. From bed frames to an actual bus! There are plenty of things to keep a robotic Zver interested and a good amount of hidey spots to stop him from getting wet. His favorite place to sit is inside the bus, the seats are comfy and warm.

It's not the biggest scrapyard ever only about the length of two single decker buses set one in front of of the other.

Toward the east end of the scrapyard stands an old crane. A giant ever silent guardian, it has not been used in years and is slowly gathering rust as it watches over the yard and the sole inhabitant that once hunted its own kind.

Raast's bus is toward the west of the scrapyard, sitting at a 90 degree angle. The horn no longer works but the windows are all intact so he can get in and out through the door which remains forever open. Some of the seats have had their cushions carefully removed and dragged to the back of the bus, they make for a comfy place to stay when the weathers bad enough to cut Raast off from his car.

There are old statues that used to stand in buildings or shopping malls that were closed and the gorgeous works of art no longer wanted. They stand randomly about the yard, silently watching the world go by as birds use them as perches and nesting grounds.

Broken things litter the yard here and there. Kitchen appliances are a fairly common sight while old bits and pieces of things are scattered almost everywhere.

(Decker is a term used in England meaning level to describe the two most commonly used types of bus ^-^)

Describe their scrap yard home: The morning sun rises slowly, casting warm rays of light over the place he calls home. A place the humans had turned into a metallic graveyard, a place they seem to have forgotten about. In fact, no humans have been here in years, leaving the metal to rust and slowly disintegrate into nothing. Various vehicles dot the landscape, casting oddly shaped shadows here and there. Devoid of windows and engines, they are simply husks of what they once were. However, they provide perfect shelter from the rain and wind, and were comfortable enough for a metal creature to find sleep.

Cars aren't the only things the humans have left here. Old refrigerators lay on their sides in haphazard places, threatening to topple over at the slightest touch. Small animals search them for any traces of food, not caring about the threat they pose. A large pile of chain link fencing material dominates the northern edge of his territory. The rusted, twisted metal poses the risk of breaking limbs, however it serves nicely as hunting grounds since it also traps smaller animals and holds them until he can get them.

On the south side of the scrap yard, the equipment the humans once used to control the yard have become residents. Three huge machines with long arms covered in rust stand guard. In the early morning light, their silhouettes are daunting and vaguely threatening. He has not explored that part of his home yet, although he intends to today. Just a few hundred yards from the largest one, a pile of bedsprings makes an interesting place to play. He is a young zver, after all.

Various smaller metal pieces are scattered throughout the yard. Car rims, microwaves and even sheets of metal too rusted to serve any purpose create an odd landscape. It is dark and foreboding and keeps humans at bay. To him, it is home and it is safety.

After a long deliberation, I've finally decided that this zver shall go to Queen Chrysalis. I like the description of how he's moved the cushions around and made a home for himself in the old bus

Thank you so much both of you. Tanskitty I really loved how you described the scrapyard as a metallic graveyard, makes it sound so spooky <3
