Personality: Shivah is a very respected dog. She is a terrifying figure and one that is not to be messed with. However, just like the god she was named after, she can also be gentle. I picture her as a motherly figure, one who is so willing to protect others that sometimes she foregts how much power she has and it can sometimes push other dogs away from her. Shiva was the hindu god of destruction and restoration, so as you can imagine, Shivah is a bit if both. She may protect someone, but end up hurting another in the process. Personality: Rica is a great kids dog, she loves to play but never too rough and doesn't mind in the least getting poked in the eyes and pinched, she is a perfect babysitter. One of her favorite things is getting groomed, she loves getting pampered and clipped up for shows. Personality: nicks is one of the younger dogs at saint otterlakes, just having passed her first birthday. meaning she's a complete ball of energy. as a dog who's always on the go, getting into everything and anything, she can become quite easily distracted. it can make training a little difficult, however she can be usually be kept focus by treats or making it into a massive game. her favourite treats are beef flavoured dog treats in the shape of bones.
nicks has a very good nose and isn't afraid of loud noises such as gunshots. this lead her to be paired with bear as a hunting dog. however, she didn't show much interest in the spot. so her discipline changed to tracking. she gets along very well with her fellow kennelmate salem, as they spend a lot as they are both tracking dogs ; often training and attending show together. like other high energy dogs at saint otterlakes, nicks has a minor discipline to try and help wear her out a little - and nicks absolutely loves to take part in flyball.
as a naturally submissive dog, meaning she gets along well with most of her kennelmates as well as strange dogs. she adores going to competitions and making friends with new dogs. her tail rarely stops wagging when she's around her fellow canines. nicks hates being alone, and is liable to destroy something if she's left without being able to hear or see people or dogs for long periods of time. once as a puppy, she was isolated from the other dogs due to illness and was left in the house in the laundry room. she chewed a pair of shoes and had half-chewed a third. she's a very sweet and playful gal who enjoys a good cuddle or tussling with her companions. she'll often follow someone around with one of her toys until they give in and play with her. her favourites toys include a squeaky blue bunny plushie - which she brings to competitions as her reward toy, - a red kong chew toy, a blue tennis ball with paws on it and blue rope toy.
like many of her kennelmates, nicks has a cd player - high out of reach of course - in her kennel. each dog has their own tastes as to what keeps them calm in stressful situations like fireworks at halloween or just helps them to fall asleep at night. on the way back to her new home, nicks showed an interest in stevie nicks - and it became her name as well as her choice of song to help lull her to sleep. her show name, seven wonders, is the name of the stevie nicks song that was on the radio.
