General Info
Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

A human trapper had stolen many chrysaora foals and was selling them in a underground black market. A organization of people stopped him and rescued the foals, and are now trying to adopt them out. Each of the foals needs an experienced owner to love and raise them. We're counting on you, the members of the chry community, to give these babes a second chance at life.

The day of the auction, I had my mare, Fantasia with me so that when I bought one, the foal would feel safe with me because Fantasia is a motherly figure. It was the last few hours of the auction before the foals would be transported to yet another fairground when I saw that bright blue mane out of the corner of my eye. I started to walk towards the foal's stall and she backed into the corner with her head tucked down and eyes closed. I knew she was scared. Fantasia stepped forward towards the stall door and the foal whinnied at my Chrys. Fantasia and her vocalized back and forth for a while then the foal stepped forward. I extended my hand out to the foal and she stiffed it for quite some time. Then, I pulled out and apple and extended it out to her. She snatched it out of my hand in a heartbeat. I knew that she was happy. I pulled her out of the stall and walked her into the arena so I could see her better and see how she was when around other Chrys. Fantasia and her started running around the arena and chasing one another like little kids. Fantasia, being a little older, finally wore out and stopped. I hopped into the arena and approached Eli. She backed up a few steps but I stood still and she came to me slowly. I reached to touch her nose and she winced. I could tell that this was the first positive human encounter she had ever had. She fell into a trance when I started to pet her and when I stopped, she followed me and nudged my hands. She was my little puppy dog. I ran around the arena and she chased me. That day, I adopted her and Fantasia got another child.
