As a sentient being, Audra experiences a myriad of complex emotions, though a surprisingly large fraction of those are negative. This bat is something of an adrenaline junkie, traveling far and wide to seek adventure. You'll never find Audra backing down from a challenge, especially if it involves someone she considers an equal. She makes rivals at the same pace others might make friends.
While she may seem guileless at first, she is not without her own demons. Whether caused by chemical imbalances or other factors, it's hard to deny that there's something unstable about her mindset once you spend some time with her—she is prone to sudden bouts of moroseness, drifting off in the middle of a conversation or abruptly adopting a humorless tone. As Audra normally presents herself as a sociable and outgoing individual, the change can be disturbing to those who aren't familiar with her habits.
It's easy to pass it off as a case of extreme introversion. Lingering symptoms of further neurodivergence, such as a temporary disconnect with the world or a sudden fixation with her surroundings, occasionally make an appearance to negate that theory. When anything happens, the bat turns to her carefully maintained playlists to distract herself. Her music tastes are eclectic, though she prefers the rapid beats of dubstep that pound in sync with her heart and fill her ears with layers of texture. When she's feeling quiet, bird calls or ocean waves make an excellent substitute. Sometimes when the world gets overwhelming she just wears the headphones to silence the chaos.
The two sides of herself are a core aspect of her identity. At the same time, she denies the less agreeable one; she copes almost like a child when it shows its face, pretending that nothing is wrong by using earsplitting noise to drown out the worries in her head. How truly paper-thin her walls are becomes evident every time she whirls on a stranger for romanticizing the headaches, the depression, the emptiness that creeps in at the worst times. There's nothing wrong with Audra the way she is, but perhaps finding a supportive friend to guide her would do a world of good.

She prefers electronic music, especially trance, dubstep, and darkcore. Her distraction music is usually fast paced and lacks vocals. Otherwise, Audra enjoys melancholy songs with dreamy atmospheres and meaningful lyrics.

Audra's prized possessions are, of course, her headphones. She has multiple
pairs of varying colors, but the green ones are her oldest and most beloved. She
takes tremendous pride on keeping them in good shape. You'll rarely see her
without a set slung carefully over her shoulders.

This might be unnecessary to say, but if I were to win this lovely icicle bat, she would be spoiled rotten. RP and more art would be a definite (I've left her story up for character development for this reason!). Audra is a name I've been fond of for a very long time and it seems to suit her perfectly. I'm looking forward to participating in this community whether it's with her or another adopt, but I'd love to give this one particular a good home. That being said, good luck to everyone! C:
