about his horn; Lupin's horn resembles an optical effect most commonly seen in gemstones, known as aventurescence. It resembles a metallic glitter. While his horn has larger "glitters", Lupin's teeth have a much more metallic look to them.

I really love larger and more exotic snakes,
like Sunny, my Python. She's such a big sweetheart,
you know. She actually really loves to snuggle, which
is rare for a reptile of her kind. My friends, though,
aren't so enthusiastic 'bout her. I suppose it's because she's
so massive, but they should honestly be alright with her
by now. Ahh, well, I guess you can't control such things.

You'd expect Aqua to own a lizard of some sort, probably a
leopard gecko. He does, after all, look like one himself!
What a cute couple that'd be, right? This, however, is
not the case. You'd be surprised to find out that Aqua
owns a massive Burmese Python, an albino one, to be
precise. He absolutely adores snakes in general,
but he finds Pythons especially appealing.

Aquarius skidded to a stop, an angry bark ripping through his muzzle. "Truffle, lay off!" he grumbled with a rough shove to the bouncy adolescent. She let out a mischievous giggle and poked Aqua's long, sleek tail. "Oh, don't be such a baby. You're practically Rusty," she shot back with a glint in her olive eyes.

Aqua snorted and plodded away, Sunny winding around his neck like a scaled scarf. "I don't have time for this," he mumbled, his anger fading into mild irritation. Truffle shrugged, the smirk disappearing from her face as her companion walked away. "H-hey, wait!" she cried with sudden desperation, scrambling after him. "I was wondering if you'd let me hang out with you for a bit..."

Aqua glanced back at her with a lopsided grin. "What happened to your little boyfriend, Rust?" Blood immediately rushed to Truffle's face, the blush showing through her pale brown fur. "H-he's not my boyfriend!" she shrieked with obvious dismay, smacking Aquarius on the arm. "He's my best friend. And he's gone on a trip with his parents halfway across the country, to Oregon, I believe, for some family reunion or whatever." Truffle's glare shifted into pleading puppy-eyes. "So... is that possibly a yes?" She paused for a moment merely for effect and continued begging. "Oh please! I'm so bored and I-"

Aqua chuckled lightheartedly, no longer mad, and patted Truffle on the shoulder. "Okay, okay! We'll being going to the farmer's market first, then to the library. Does that sound good to you?" Truffle, who happened to adore books, nodded enthusiastically. "Alright, let's hop to it!" she exclaimed, her voice drenched with excitement and gratitude.
After purchasing two fresh salmon sandwiches at the farmer's market, Aquarius and Truffle sat down on an old wooden bench by the library. Truffle instantly began to eat her sandwich, ripping off large chunks at a time. Aqua eyed her ravenous behavior and snorted softly, taking a large bite out of his own meal. He chewed slowly and quietly, gazing into the distance with concerned eyes.
"Truffle?" he inquired. "Where are your parents?"

Truffle choked on her mouthful, dropping her sandwich in the process. She glanced up at her older friend briefly before fixing her gaze upon the ground, her long tail curling around her body. "Truffle. Look at me," Aqua demanded, gently touching her paw. "Do you have a place to stay?"

"Rust's parents usually let me stay in their guest room," she mumbled. Aqua's face melted into an expression of horror and pity. He handed Truffle his sandwich with one hand and dragged her up from the bench with the other. "You're coming to my apartment, now," he declared, tugging her along down the sidewalk. Truffle followed along silently, her tail twitching in unearthed grief.

After arriving at the apartment, Aquarius showed Truffle to the guest room and offered her a bottle of Gatorade. She sipped in silence, observing her companion with wary eyes. Aqua sighed lightly and patted her leg, biting his lower lip as she twitched away, spilling a few droplets of her beverage on the sheets. "Truffle, I'm not going to hurt you," he said, speaking quietly as if to a frightened animal. Sensing his hesitance, Truffle stiffened and peeled back her lips in a slight display of aggression. "I was never afraid of you," she shot back. After a brief pause, she added softly: "Thanks for the drink, though."

Aqua smiled lightly, his turquoise eyes glimmering with sympathy, and strode out of the room. He quickly tugged his cellphone out of his pocket and dialed child services, feeling a lump grow in his throat.
Aqua doubted that he'd be able to keep her as a younger sister, but a flare of hope began to flicker in his heavy heart. He dialed the number and escaped into the bathroom, hoping that Truffle wouldn't hear.
