Delta Velorum Foxes are tall looking foxes that are only located on the remote planet of Delta Velorum.

Standing between 2 - 2 1/2 feet at the should, Delta Velorum Foxes are very tall in appearance compared to Red Foxes on Earth. They tend to be long legged in appearance and are well known for their endurance and agility. Males tend to be more muscular then females while female are more slender and elegant in appearance. A Delta Foxes fur tends to be very soft and short, and come in a wide variety of natural colors. It is not uncommon to see them in roans and dun colors similar to horses and are commonly seen in cat colors and patterns as well (such as calico, tabby, bengal markings ect). However the combination of colors and patterns are limitless, and each Delta Velorum Fox is different from the next. No two are ever the same in looks. Delta Velorum Foxes can come in any eye color and combination - no matter if it's natural or unnatural. A fox with two or more eye colors (known as Heterochromia) is uncommon but not unheard of.

Variety: CUSTOM LINES, Custom tail / ears / extra fluff. Reverse / Slit eyes, dark green sclera. STONE Antlers with growing moss / paw glow that grows plants (grass, flowers, vines - small things). Custom accessories.

* This DVF is a head taller then any other DVF
* It's antlers are made of STONE, and do not fall or grow larger. They not fake. Moss grows on the antlers like hair grows on humans. This DVF never noticed how heavy it's antlers are.
* This DVF can grow small things from it's paws - grass, vines, flowers, small plants. The only time it cannot grow plants is when it is ill and the glow does not show (no glow, no growth). The accessories on it's antlers glow the same color.
* The sclera (eye whites) are a very dark green color.
* It's ears cannot move up, they are always down no matter what.

History
The marshes were cold in the winter. Dara knew this better than anyone. As he struggled to rise, the bigger red fox sneered down at him.
"I didn't say you could get up, sludge. You still haven't learned." His cronies sniggered. As they held him down, the leader came closer until his eyes were a paw-length from Dara's.
"You're just loner-pup slime, you always will be. You don't deserve to live in Wolfmarsh." He pulled away. "You disgust me. Take him for a walk. A long walk." His cronies dragged Dara out of the mud and began pulling him away from camp.

They dumped him a mile out, as snow was just beginning to fall. They ran off back to camp, leaving the weak pup Dara behind. He was in a wide clear space, bordered by thick trees. The wind swept across, chilling Dara through his fur. He could barely walk, practically limping across the clearing as the wind and snow picked up into a howling maelstrom. Reaching a huge hollow oak, Dara collapsed in its cavity, sheltered by the wood and bark. In his exhaustion, he didn't notice how it glowed, a bright green light enveloping him as he lost consciousness.

He awoke in a dream-space, floating in pure nothingness, stars glinting in the distance. A green light swirled around his small brown body.
"Hmmm." It hummed. "You are awfully small. Barely a worthy vessel for my power." Dara was confused.
"Vessel? I'm just lost. A pup in the wilderness. I wasn't looking for you." The light floated in front of him.
"No? Well, it doesn't matter now. Your body is dying." The green light didn't seem terribly concerned. Dara was terrified.
"Dying? No! I can't! I'm too young to die!" He clawed uselessly at the space around him. The green light spoke again.
"Your body is lying in a hollow tree in the middle of a snowstorm. You are literally freezing to death as we speak. I can save you, though." Dara would have grabbed the light if he could.
"How? Tell me how!" It swooped playfully beyond his grasp.
"Let me into your body. My power will save you. Just reach out your paw. It will be fine." Dara did as it said, his paw making contact with the green light. It flowed into him, a scorching green river pouring through his body. The pain was unbearable, and Dara was smashed back into reality.

All was quiet when he awoke. The snow was still, a flat plane of white. The wind had died down, and sun shone from above. Stepping out of the tree, Dara noticed that the snow no longer felt cold on his paws. It was as if there was a sun inside him, keeping him warm. He crossed the clearing, his small body now covered in green and white markings. Looking down, Dara saw in his shadow the branchlike structures on his head. He fell down in shock. He lay in the snow, staring up at the blue sky. Things were different now.

History II
Many years had passed since that fateful winter night. Dara had spent that time wandering, without home or family. The foxes told tales of him, the wild wanderer who never stayed anywhere, but was always there in times of need. He had saved the lives of too many to count, from Dellhaven to beyond the mountains. Now, he had returned to where it all began. The cold wind blew over the marshes, rattling the grasses that stood above the snow. Dara leapt down from the small ledge where he stood, crossing the fields of snow. He entered the camp before nightfall, as the snow was beginning to fall. Foxes stared in awe of him. He had grown used to such stares in his travels, but they had never felt so hateful. He was a stranger to them. An outsider.
"Clanless one!" Came a voice. Dara turned to face it, finding a surprisingly familiar snout. The red fox who had abused him as a kit. "How dare you come here?" His voice was sharp. "We don't take to your kind. You dirty our land with your outsider paws." Dara simply grinned.
"I see nothing has changed. My mother gave me to you, yet you rejected me as nothing more then lone-born filth. Now I return here in peace, and you still disrespect me. Do you know who I am?" The foxes around shook their heads, but one bore an expression of pure terror. He cried out.
"You are the Antlered one, guardian of peace and," he gulped." punisher of the cruel." Dara laughed aloud. Addressing the red fox, he said simply:
"I'll give you a head start."
