Favorite toy;
Rogue's favourite toy would have to be her squeaky carrot plush that she received as a child. Ever since she was a little thing, Rogue has always been obsessed with the Disney movie "Bolt". Not only was it one of her first memories, but one of her favourites. She took on Bolt as her role model and tried her best to act like him-- courageous, witty, strong, and fearless. On top of that, she just wanted to be a hero. Of course, at the time she was lost in her fantasy that becoming a hero would lead to her being rich and famous and well-liked: a common dream for children. Rogue even took effort to memorize Bolt's lines and quotes, and tried to use them in real situations, although the effectiveness wasn't as great, for she didn't understand them entirely.
As hard as she tried, Rogue didn't ever match her expectations. That didn't disappoint her, though, as she knew that even though she was rather aloof, clumsy, and a little bit chubby, she could still be the hero she wanted to be. If anything, she didn't even know the feeling of embarrassment until one day in grade school. Rogue doesn't speak of it much, but on that one day, she slipped up and fell during an impression of Bolt, which caused many of her classmates to laugh and tease her, although they didn't mean harm. It was the first time for her, to receive such attention, that she cried, wanting to go to a different school. Even though her classmates truly didn't mean harm-- they found it funny and clever-- Rogue didn't see it that way. As an attempt to cheer her up, her parents gave her a carrot squeaky toy, just like Bolt's in the movie. It worked, too.
From then on, Rogue made a promise to her new "Mr. Carrot" to never give up and to be the best she can be. There has been some moments where that promise wavered a bit, but since that moment, Rogue has tried her best to stay true to her word. Now, she may still be clumsy and silly, but she maintains her desire to become a hero-- but not for the glory this time, but to give others hope and faith to stay true to themselves.
(general personality: tries to be tough, cool girl, but is casual and sweet if you're close to her, very tomboyish, acts a lot like Bolt when she can, trips a lot and is very clumsy, low self-confidence internally, tries to think positive)

│ └────────────┘ xxxxx"Okay, I'm gonna let you in on a secret here. I have a small trapdoor in my wall. It's about a foot off the ground, which makes it hard to conceal. But I manage."
*gestures to a black and white wall-papered bedroom, quite roomy, but very unorganized*
xxxxx"While I was refurnishing everything, I decided to see if I could sell the olive antique chair that had been in the room when I bought it."
*tilts head thoughtfully*
xxxxx"I went to pick it up. Well, I tried too. It was so heavy, you would've thought it was nailed down."
*eyes flutter dramatically and hands do a dainty shrug*
xxxxx"I bent down to check if it really was held there... It wasn't. With a shove, it budged. And then I saw it. A TINY wooden lever, a few inches from my nose, smelling of musky pine and faintly of what you would smell when you walk across a bride with dead water underneath it. I did so like that familiar aging scent."
*smiles profoundly*
"It was old and brittle and it appeared to be rotting and I hoped it wouldn't break. But who could blame me for what I did next? And that was yank. I yanked on it hard as I could, mustering all the strength I had. And then suddenly! A small portion of the wall, right underneath the lever itself, fell open."
*raises eyebrows*
"Now I was shocked."
*raises index finger curtly*
"Very shocked, for there was something in it. A large, dented tin box, about this wide."
*hands draw a large square.*
"I removed the box, and just like the chair, it was terribly heavy. Cobwebs stuck to its rims like a bear with a jar of honey and dust swirled all around. When I proceeded to lift the lid up, it made the sound that aluminum would make if you slapped your hand against it. Clang, clang, clang!"
*eyes widen to dramatize the story*
"What did you say? Get to the point? Well, if you want to hear about my toy, you're going to hafta be more patient than that. It is never the destination but the journey that is most riveting... What? Don't patronize me! When I'm telling a story it's just common courtesy to speak as if I were Edgar Allan Poe, idiot."
*narrows eye and lifts a single eyebrow*
"So clang clang and uh.. oh yes! I removed the lid and a big woosh of old, musty air escaped. I choked for a second but then returned my gaze to the open box. There was nothing in it but paper envelopes, and more. I untied the bundle of letters and picked one up that was sitting at the top of the pile. And guess how old it was?"
*purses lips*
"Two hundred and fifty years old give or take a little. The penmanship looked scrawled and was horribly messy, so I naturally assumed it was the writing of a child."
*looks around room*
"I won't read them to you, but through her letters, I understood who she was. Her personality, her queer way of speech, how she dotted her eyes with a long mark instead of a sharp dot, how she fancied pecans, but never berries. As I read her letters, her life became a little clearer for me. Interestingly enough, it was not all letters. Charlotte presented her with a handmade game, a game of Egypt. Mancala."
*smiles*
"A game of mancala, a game that has taught me, you may have a dozen, but when you separate it from its friends, it's only as beneficial as one. I don't favorite it because it is enjoyable, or because the set was well-crafted. I favorite it because, because of it, I know Charlotte a little better. It's weird having this connection to a deceased person I've never met, and even odder being said person's best friend. Whenever I am feeling upset or disturbed, I take the set, find my store-bought marbles and pretend to converse with Charlotte and we play, because, to be honest, I'm not the best at making friends. And it's a lot better than a living person. I know I didn't speak much about the toy itself, to me it's only an object, an object that's brought me closer to a person. So maybe I'm not as passionate about the game as I am its goal. It is never the destination but the journey that is most riveting."

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Favourite Toy Description;
Gaelin's favourite toy is an old Ouija board that he found in his grandmothers attic. This guy has been
fascinated with all things creepy and supernatural for ages. Ever since he was little pup he was never
frightened by the prospects of what he might learn from his Ouija board or the spirits that actually
reach out to contact him using the interesting item. In fact he has had some paranormal experiences
that he still brags about.
Gaelin's ouija board like most is made out of stained wood, but in spots the stain has begun to peel
and pop from age and use. It has all the letters of the alphabet scrolled across its surface in two rows,
bellow that numbers 0 to 9 and at the top left hand corner it has "yes" and the left it has "no" and "good
bye" at the very bottom. From a distance it looks like any other Ouija board, but on closer examination
you can see charred engravings of skeletons holding multiple objects all along the boarder of the board.
in a few places there are unexplained marks; but when Gaelin asked his grandmother; who used to dabble
in the arts of phsychi and was sometimes called a medium, His grandmother refuses to speak about the
board.
Gaelin has had this board since a young age and it has fuelled his desire to reach out to the world between
the living and the dead as his grandmother once did to speak with those who are stuck between. He takes
his Ouija board with him when he goes exploring old abandoned buildings or hears rumours of haunted
areas. Gaelin has managed to contact both good and not so good spirits using this board and lived to tell
the tale, now he's hooked! he can't get enough of these hair raising experiences and is always looking for
more with the board in toe.
Gaelin does not trust anyone else with his Ouija board, in fact he keeps it quite well hidden by carrying it
around in a hideaway book so that it just looks like he has a book under his arm instead of a paranormal
contacting tool. Gaelin however does not hide his Planchette that goes along with the board. Instead he
wears it around his neck like a pendent for all to see. its a great conversation starter and he loves it when
fellow ghost hunters ask him about it so that he can trade stories with them and learn more. You could
almost say that Gaelin pays more attention to the dead then to the living however.
