Nunebis has poisonous sweat glands in his paw pads, and saliva that can either be deadly or harmless. The only way to tell which is which is by a difference in color and texture. The poison is blood colored, thick, works quickly in high concentrations, and will become contagious if it reaches the final phase. If the poison gets into the blood stream, it goes through three phases. The first phase causes a low fever, and as the victim's temperature gets worse so does the symptoms. During the second phase the fever becomes worse, the victim feels nauseous, and starts to having trouble breathing. And in the final phase the lungs are targeted to where the victim is barely getting enough oxygen, and begins breathing out a poisonous gas in large amounts to where it will infect all others nearby. The gas form of the poison is much worse as it goes straight for the lungs but works at a much slower rate. Breathing becomes painful and some may even start hallucinating. The only way to survive a poisonous bite from Nunebis is to get treatment as soon as phase one starts.
The pheromone is almost transparent, fog-like, can be identified by the small red flecks that float around in it, and has a faint sweet smell. When inhaled the victim feels relaxed, and docile. And although the pheromone has some healing effects it can only boot one's immune system by a little and can slow down the effects of his poison. Large concentrations will give a victim a higher chance of surviving one of his deadly bites.
Rank Desired: Base WarriorPersonality: Nunebis is mainly a quiet individual who keeps to himself, and is very patient, at least for the most part. He can be quick to anger should you insult him or his powers. He will give a few subtle hints that he is reaching his boiling point and by then it would be best to move away or else there is a chance you will get bitten. Once angered it takes a lot for him to calm down, and if he isn't careful any poison that is let out has the potential to turn into its gas form. Nunebis likes to feel wanted and should he catch on that you find his presence unbearable he will hold a grudge against the individual for a long period of time.
Nunebis is a bit of a narcissist and is confident in the extent of his abilities. He knows how deadly he can be, and enjoys teasing others about. He especially enjoys twisting his words around and making it seem like he has no control over his powers and that he can inflict a deadly disease at any moment. For a lion who's power is that of poison, Nunebis can be quite cuddly should the mood strike him. And because of how high temperatures is what causes his poisonous bite to work so quickly, Nunebis has a habit of seeking out areas, and individuals that are very warm, especially those who have fire-based abilities. Being around warm individuals will prompt him to want to take a nap while close to them. When around those he is close to, Nunebis is more talkative and his laid back personality becomes present. He is also less likely to get angry as quickly, and will use his pheromones to help cheer another up should they ask.
History or Short Story:While growing up Nunebis didn't develop the more deadly aspect of his powers until his later cub years. Given that the pheromones where the only aspect of his power revealed, most thought that his was element was going to be loved based. This of course made him quite popular amongst the other cubs. Of course that all changed when his powers finally showed their true potential. The day had started out just like any other, until the trainers had asked that he and others try using more powerful attacks. When it was Nunebis's turn to show off, he was surprised to see a thick red liquid seep from his paws instead of the usual semi-transparent fog. At first the trainer thought Nunebis had injured himself and was sent to the healer. And it was the Head Healer who figured out that it wasn't blood that he had created but poison. News spread amongst the other cubs, and instead of admiring him most of them grew wary of him. Despite how everything changed for him, Nunebis handled it all fairly well even if he became a closed off version of the outgoing cub he once was. It wasn't long after he reached his adult stage that he made the decision of becoming a base warrior. Nunebis figured it was the best rank for him, that way his powers could be used for a better cause.
