What is a Makoatl?
A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the Greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

As the pink mako swam to the bottom of the ocean, her muscles rippling under her pelt, her mission to get kelp for her fish tank almost complete, a memory surfaced...

"Now Cerise, this is kelp. I get it from a special spot in the sea, I will show you if you like" her father said with a smile, his deep voice brimming with pride as the father and daughter duo built Cerise's first fish tank. "Yes please, papa." her beautiful blue eyes smiled as she bat her big eyelashes. Her father laughed at her reaction, and continued to point out the flaws in her tank and how to fix it to make the fish happy...

Shaking away the memory she sighed, grabbed the kelp she came for, and swam back to the surface with a small smile on her face. Yes, her fish would love this kelp, just as her fish back then did. Her papa was right.
