Story: Upon first coming into contact with any form of creature, Grey Wind has a tendency to hide from them, observing them with his inquisitive golden gaze. He studies them intently, watchful eyes never leaving them for the seemingly fleeting moment while he is there. Once the canine has determined that his adversary will not do him much harm, he will emerge slowly, not submitting to them nor will he attempt to dominate. He meets their gaze if they happen to turn it upon him, yellow eyes never wavering, making it obvious he will be respected. Upon receiving his intended reaction he will tilt his head to the side, seeming to "smile" as he does so. His tail will wag halfheartedly, a usually clear sign that he does not wish to harm them.

Remus' ear pricked at a noise off in the distance- the sharp snapping of a twig, the sound of an approaching being. Who could it be this time? If it was Feral for the third time that day, attempting to console him after what had happened earlier, he was sure he would snap in two just as that twig had.

Then, again came the noise, the soft crunching of leaves, the sound of an approaching being. Who would dare approach him in this mood? Remus was certain he would not be able to cage his anger in the presence of whomever was drawing nearer to his wounded pride.

Just then, there was a shiver of movement, and the whisper of a breath. It was not Feral this time, but who? Who would dare?

"Show yourself villain! Let me BE!!" Remus' s rage-filled outcry nearly shook the ground below him and the one within the shadows.

Sure enough, out from the shadows stepped a brave deerling- lost and without shelter from her doe or her buck. While Remus growled, she ignored him, not yet knowing to be afraid of him and his gnashing teeth, too young to understand that she should fear his howl.

As the fawn came to lay at Remus' feet, seeking any warmth she could find, something happened. Remus found that the weight within him began to lift. He found that he needed the deerling as much as she needed him. He found that he fell in love with the her right then and there. Not the kind of love where you want to be with someone romantically...but the sort where you feel you will protect someone at all costs. Remus began to love the fawn as a sort of father.

"I will call you Anya, my little one."

Story: Inquisitive is an understatement. When Alpha meets another creature or keplie, no matter which, he first has to assess the situation. He has to determine the outcome before approach is realistic. Like a collie herding sheep, he crouches on his haunches, observing his acquaintance with a slightly skeptical stare and he cautiously circles them. Intimidating, Assertive, and Fearless, are a few of the words used to describe Grey
Wind when it comes to him meeting other creatures. Grey Wind is more likely to
spend over an hour just observing his adversary, after determining that the creature
means no major harm, Grey Wind will greet the unfamiliar being with an inquisitive
gaze and an uncertain posture. Normally the large Kelpie will approach with his
hackles raised and his ears pulled back, keeping a distance between him and the
new creature. After approaching hesitantly, Grey Wind will normally stand tall,
his tail curled slightly and his fur bristled, snapping at the strange being a few times
to show that he's boss and what he says goes. Once he gets his point across, Grey
Wind will let out a sharp bark, turning his back on the creature to display the fact
that he has some trust in the acquaintance. He'll walk away, looking over his shoulder
to see if the outsider had decided to follow, leading the foreigner into his territory.
If he places some trust in the visitor then he will introduce them to the rest of his pack,
keeping a wary eye on the guest, watching to see how they would react to the others.
After gauging a positive reaction from the stranger and his pack, then Grey Wind will
approach once again, his relaxed gaze scanning over the new arrival before his tail
slowly begins to wag.
