Tall, lean frame, round ears, and bright eyes, Xholis are diurnal, hierarchal, and intelligent species that wield the forces of nature. Xholis are social animals that can be recognized into 2 different clans. The ones that hunt at dusk, and those that hunt at dawn. Their pelt reflects their environment as the Dusk hunters tend to have darker palette while the Dawn hunters are significantly lighter. Between those two clans, the species are once again split into more diverse and specialized packs. Fire, Earth and Water are the most common forces of nature that each Xholi wields. The gem they are born with determines their attribute, which is effected by the parent's gems. Every Xholi is given a role befitting their status in the pack, and the leader of the each pack is expected to keep the peace.

he hates being bossed around/being a messenger in general because higher ranked xholis would pick on him for having such a weak rank. he uses a sharp stick to carve his messages about his feelings in trees outside the territory.

he wasnt supposed to give up, to stoop that low and flat out tell his son to kill him, whilst bringing up his mothers death. fathers dont to that, they have to hold the family together, the supporter, they called it. but what if he didnt want to be that, to be stuck in that role where he had to take care of everyone and himself, he wasnt that kind of person. the day when his mate died was a cold one, striking him deep in his heart, a soft, shy soul who was nervous about everything.

in the back of his mind, those two sentences waited, his breath hitched. calloused paws hit soft grass, and upon looking up he found the soft green eyes of his robust son, who always stuck his nose in everything. "dad!" his voice was deeper than pastiche remembered, just how long has it been? he had a message, something to tell the boy but he couldnt bring himself to it, the first thing he says after 10 years would be that? how disgusting.

"hello, son," he whispered, tears brimming his eyes.

Though not exactly a criminal, Vera is skilled enough at sneaking around and leaving no tracks to get a little bit of payback to Xholis who treat him poorly.
He does not steal anything too valuable, he usually just takes a shiny object or a nice fat bird.
Though he would never actually send a message like this, mostly to avoid getting caught, he enjoys continuing the payback by mocking them in his head, and imagining sending messages like this.

The concept here for how he sends his messages outside the "If written messages did exist" stuff is putting his paw with gems down and using his powers to shift the soil into images. If he were to actually send this is Xholiverse it would probably be a poor self portrait of himself cackling.

There has been a small change in the wording of this contest,, so please read over the first post again :')

It is simply to clear up the fact that paper/written messages don't exist in Xholi world, so messengers would be bringing spoken word or maybe conjured up images with whatever element instead.

The contest remains the same, but your physical letter is only a representation of the message this xholi would deliver (by word) but for the sake of this contest you get to make the actual letter (in a way showing what the message would look like if this xholi were human for example),

I hope this doesn't change you guys' plans too much, but I'm super excited to see how people will go about making these messages :'))
